Pros
I have the privilege of working with some of the most talented and motivated technical people I have ever known
Cons
Timely communications continue to be a problem internally at Bentley Systems. Team spirit has diminished severly over the last year.
Advice to Senior Management
The last two years have been really stressful. Seeing a lot of our friends laid off in this bad economy has been tough and the threat of future lay offs from our VP does not motivate us. We are working as hard as we can.
Pros
Family feeling in the group. Group Managers get involved and care about their team. Great Software tools, very innovative. Still a nice startup feeling.
Cons
very demotivating compensation plan. It seems the management doesn't listen to its employees.
It seems there is no structure in the way how the company wants to run its business
Advice to Senior Management
listen to you employees they care about the company as much as you do. Share more what you plan and why.
Pros
Fairly innovative in their software approach and systems
Cons
Despite the talk of innovation and working with the client, it really only came down to selling as many licenses as you could
Advice to Senior Management
Selling services is a great way to get in the door at a company, not trying to walk in and sell 100 licenses of a software package.
Pros
Turnover is low, most users would jump at the chance to work here. The communication between peers always was open and people were easy to approach.
Cons
Large corporate issues. Layoffs were made with no regard to skills and only salary was taken into account. Can be lots of travel depending on position.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep employees informed of changes internally.

Flexible Hours with work at home hours as well
Decent benefits & compensation
Opportunities for advancement if you look out for it

In office procedures are sometimes weird - like acquiring items for business purposes

Need better planning sometimes during project management
Ask all your employees for opinions for organizational improvment and cater to their business needs
