Berkley Insurance Reviews

Pros

It is a great place to get a start in the insurance industry. People are friendly with each other. They at least attempt to do events as a company (Birthday Celebrations, Outings, etc.).

Cons

The work atmosphere is a little awkward. Some people do not really seem to actually get along with each other and communication with managment was difficult. There seemed to be some division between managment and the other employees, but no more than your typical company. It reminded me of the movie Office Space in some ways.

Advice to Senior Management

Be willing to let employees handle more responsiblity. I don't think I was ever even introduced to some of the managers at Berkley.

Pros

Great people, good benefits, and the Berkley family of companies rarely downsizes.

Cons

There is very little upward mobility, and the compensation is non-existant.

Advice to Senior Management

Be competitive in your salaries, and provide plans for upward mobility. Stop giving your employees the run-around and empty promises.
