    Overall decent company

I have been working at Berkley Mid-Atlantic Group

    Pros

Small offices and flexible management with hours worked. When Kevin was in charge profit sharing with employees. Benefits decent.

    Cons

President left - claims department in turmoil. Not as profittable of a company as was believed. Lots of changes top to bottom with underwriting appetite. Poor systems, constantly stopping and extremely slow

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to trust employees more with decisions. MUST get a better systems infrastructure.

    Pros

Company promotes from within if you work hard.

    Cons

Once you get to a higher level they do not adjust salary to be competitive with the rest of the market and do not try to retain long time employees by offering competitive pay. Many leave for much higher paying positions or positions that offer growth potential

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the employees! They care and want things to be better....listen to your customers! They are begging to be heard
