    Cons

Salary is modest. You invest moré in gong to work. Página transportation and wearing a neat outfit, while the Salary Will never pay for it.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Working here gives your CV some sort of credibility as a teachers, since it is an international company known all around the world. Besides, the possibility of delivering lessons through a virtual platform is ideal for those who live far from the LC.

    Cons

You never know how many hours you will have next week (if you get any), and the instructor manual is rather confusing and doesn't make teaching easier. Besides, they do encourage you to attend professional development instances such as lectures and workshops.

    Advice to Management

Instead of hiring more teachers, you should focus on the ones you already have and exploit( in the good sense) their abilities.

    Pros

You can receive professional training if you have no teaching experience, and enjoy flexibility in schedule if you work part time. I can't think of anything good about this job

    Cons

The compensation is extremely unexpectedly low without any benefits. Don't expect any career planning from this job. And the management is in chaos. Nobody responds promptly to anyone.

    Advice to Management

consider prompt response to staff's needs and clients' needs

    Pros

Opportunities to learn about Korean biz and culture, relatively stable company compared to others in Korea, excellent opportunities for off-site instruction, work with adults, very good for CV

    Cons

absolutely no concern for students, extremely poor communication from upper-MGMT to instructors, little incentive to continue working for more than two years, no feedback, exclusion of instructors in decision-making/schedules, insufficient training, wages don't reflect cost of living or student tuition! vagueness when discussing contract and anything else, no chances for networking, instructors are expendable, very high turnover of instructors

    Advice to Management

Transparency! low teachers' salary irrespective of education/experience - change this.

    Pros

It was a great opportunity to work at Berlitz as I can bring and manage my teaching style to match with Berlitz method.

    Cons

Just one little thing with the student as most of them are older than the teacher, so some might be difficult to lead them but it was not a big deal once we know how to convince them to enjoy the lesson.

    Pros

International work environment. Engaged colleagues with love for language and culture. Flexible working hours. Interesting clients and assignments.

    Cons

No talent managent or career paths. Centralized management.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your teachers who are in touch with your clients everyday. More innovative technoligy and flexibility needed to match current client needs.

    Pros

International company with a solid framework of processes and training. Training for teachers and administrative areas was good. Language courses and ESL methodology is remarkable.

    Cons

All staff was overloaded. The ammount of auditing processes was huge, and most of the time unnecesary. Highly centralized organization.

    Advice to Management

Need to learn how you treat and trust your staff!

    Pros

it's fine, when I first started teachers didn't really speak to each other but that is better now.

    Cons

Pay not good -- place is usually dirty, the cleaners don't do anything - I've seen them laying on the classroom floor sleeping on more than a few occasions !!!!!!! not professional at all!

    Advice to Management

sort out the cleaners. pay raise would be good

    Pros

English-speaking bosses, opportunities to learn about Korean business and culture, a tremendous chance to experience cross-cultural communication experience.

    Cons

I found my coworkers to be generally cheerful, but largely unmotivated. While I learned a great deal about working in a professional environment, I saw very little incentive to continue working at this school for more than a year or two.

    Advice to Management

I think upper management needs to be more transparent with instructors about decisions being made. During my time at Berlitz I often felt like upper management was detached from the lives and concerns of instructors and lower management.
