Pros
Fun people
no boss system
time flexibility
crazy company parties
decent work schedules ( so far so good)
easy to talk to management
Cons
the problem of working with Beroe, because its a pretty new consulting company is the fact that we'll have to work along side a variety of industries with nothing matching to anything else. One week you could be working/researching the chemical aspects for a pharma company in US and the next day you could be checking integrated facilities management services across UK.... No specific characterization is built as of now.
Advice to Senior Management
Clearly define work requirements.
understand the constraints of the researcher at the end of the chain at procuring information before making blatant promises to clients, that then eventually have to be conjured in some way.
Pros
Flexi work timings
Good team to work with
Cons
Work can get a bit stressful
Long work hours due to short project durations
Pros
Quick Money
decent salary
cabs
get few experience for 6 - 10 months and get out of it..you cannot work more than that..

Cons
Plenty of reasons
Poor Middle and senior management..
Unpractical deadlines
No or Useless training
Googling googling googling..Just school finished can do..why you need MBA's??
Too greedy
No respect. you can be analyst or manager.
People getting fired for all silly and not significant reasons..
beroe expects you to be perfect though beroe is not even 10% perfect..
arrogant managers and leaders..
no learning.
no brand..
no recognition inside e and outside..
Advice to Senior Management
Stop being greedy.
Know the realities of the market and people at ground.
Dont be arrogant and dont think you got the client so your are right!
respect the people..
Pros
Best place to start a career. Opportunity to grow with the organization are extremely high.Expereince one gains is invaluable
Cons
Communication between the lower level research analysts and higher analysts can be improved slighty would make it better.( there is excellent transparency though)
Advice to Senior Management
At Beroe, the promotions and pay package if improved will attract more number of employees and thereby reducing the workload on the employees
Pros
Very few...
decent salary
good job profile (vis a vis IT profile) if you are targeting MBA from top B schools
Cons

Hours can extend to night on a regular basis...
u get to do supplier calling and try to sweet talk them into providing information...followed by googling..googling...googling
no structure in place..

Advice to Senior Management
dont be greedy...
consider the needs of the employees and dont exploit them......
try to view things from the perspective of employees as well....
Pros
For a self motivated fresher, with zeal and right attitude (read anger management), he will survive longer and at the same time learn things quicker. (It's because of some self motivated bright individuals the company seems to grow)
If you are someone, who cannot be easily influenced by negative emotions lingering in the air, you might actually feel neutral and continue working dispassionately and effectively.
Excellent and talented colleagues (in most situations) will demand you to keep abreast so as to get recognitions. Kudos to the recruitment team to have on board people with loads of talent (requisite attitude to survive here is something grossly ignored though - that is y company may be having high attrition rate)
If you are carefree (at the same time accountable), bold and even if not so sharp- witted (you 'll definitely rub shoulders with many street-smart guys who would definitely force you to be on your toes), you can have your own way of sailing smooth in the ruffled waters of Beroe.
May not be big on the 'Brand Quotient', but talent development wise, one of the best spring boards to catapult your career somewhere else big (many disagree to this - so don't get dreamy illusions because of this statement. As they say, beauty lies in the eyes of one who beholds) .
Cons
Unless u have a strong self motivation to support, there are a lot of demotivating factors for you to go astray (quitting, putting papers are everyday conversational words). Speaking of the feeling of getting lost, many a time (and many an employee) you might feel like left all alone at sea.External motivation is hard to come by.
Emotional bonding with the company ( many may put it - unnecessary) and its growth will not seep through you unless u are strongly self motivated (again!).
Certain things like over utilization of the employees can even be condoned because sacrifice and compromise of some are needed to fight with competitors (where the scenario is not so different either)... But having said that, as I have told in my previous points, this can be survived only with strong external motivation and a feeling of 'connection' with the company !
Some front line managers are good and helpful, some have to be differently dealt with ( from the perspective of an employee in the core revenue generating group) in order to maintain your cool. But almost all of these front line managers are loyalists (may be that is one of the few things that makes one feel there is still light at the end of the tunnel)
Advice to Senior Management
We are told, lot of changes are happening (I cannot completely disagree either). But the company seriously lacks a motivational figure!
One serious accusation being unrealistic deadlines, I don't think it will (or can) be lengthened . Blame it on competitor pressure.
Avoiding giving any hazy, 'un-actionable', cliched useless business parlance filled advice, my heart felt suggestion (advice is too heavy respecting their experience of building a start up) would be :
Please do not take yourselves very seriously. Had there been a Steve Jobs or Narayanamurthy, a simple mail may motivate but here, we would need very unconventional ways. You do your work, I do my work - may not make a leader out of the people in top management.
Spot people doing things right (1 min manager - Spencer Johnson - not my own) DIFFERENTLY; we are all in the battle field, but at times, trying coming and helping the infantry battling upfront (you might have done this actively during the early formative years but can again just come now for support )
Pros
you will be appreciated and compensated for your good work quite early in your career. good exposure to the corporate working.
Cons
its a kind of self growing process. You have to scale up on a daily basis to remain in the competition.
Advice to Senior Management
please get to know the research process before advising on the report and its quality. something that workd 4 years back might not be applicable today.
Pros
good opportunities to have a rapid career growth with decent compensations.
work atmosphere is light and you will not feel the pressure to report on everyday basis.
Cons
lesser integration between the teams leading to overwork on technical stuffs. lesser lead times on projects will get you exhausted at times.
Advice to Senior Management
bring in more transparency in reviewing the work and decisions helping the research analysts to know their role in Beroe.
Pros
Beroe has a chilled out work atmosphere with a good learning environment. It gives you enough opportunities to prove yourself and have a exponential growth.
Cons
there will be a tradeoff between career growth and clockin-clockout attitute. Sometimes the deadlines and time demand are tight which can leave you frustrated.
Advice to Senior Management
There is a need to add more experienced senior management guiding the research in addition to the existing scalp-up. Also, the feedback system needs to be improved.
Pros
Beroe has all that a growing company has to offer - tremendous exposure to multitudes of industry, category and projects, learning & growth opportunities, decent compensation and lotsa fun activities - games, TV, participation in competitions etc
Cons
work can be challenging and can stretch you at times. Projects can be handled in a better manner. middle management layer needs to be strengthened
Advice to Senior Management
though efforts are being made to strengthen the middle layer - a lot of work still needs to be done. Try and find some ways/process/tools to manage our projects better - maybe a project management tool will help
