I have been working at Best Buy part-time for less than a year
Pros – Nice Discount, Decent Starting Wage. Don't expect miracles, because this is a retail job. But it can be what you make of it. Be respectful of the customers, sell them only what they need. You'll be ac
Cons – Holiday Season can wear you down.
Advice to Senior Management – Some younger associates need serious development in how to talk to customers. They seem to talk to their cusotmers the way they talk to their friends, and some customers clearly find this off-putting.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

I have been working at Best Buy
Pros – Flexible hours
Fun, energetic employees and management
Learn cool new gadgets and play with them
Fair pay
Easy promotion as long as you do your job.
Cons – Must work weekends (Or you will be replaced)
Stressful sales (You will be "talked to" if you don't attach accessories and services)
Extremely money hungry (Managers always stressed over numbers and sales and takes it out on you)
Inconsistent hours unless if you're full time or management
More about making company money than taking care of customers
Can't take of (at all) during holiday season. (This job made me hate Christmas)
Angry customers who take it out on you.
THE SAME MUSIC EVERYDAY (Literally the exact same songs, it's torture!)
Advice to Senior Management – I appreciate working at best buy but at times it seems like Best Buy (corporate) doesn't appreciate me or my fellow employees. Be thankful for the employees you have and they will make you more money.
Focus more on taking care of customers then money. All I hear everyday is notional margin, black tie, geek squad services, blah blah blah.... If a customer comes in with the mind state that they are spending 300 dollars on a laptop, they won't want 150 dollar services! Just chill out with forcing your employees to attach things that not every customer wants (or needs).

I worked at Best Buy
Pros – Employee Discount was really nice because it was what made working there worth it. If I didn't have the employee discount I would have never applied for the job.
Cons – CoWorkers: Unfortunately, there are alot of rough people who end up working along side you at work. They have no long term goals in life, and all they care about is the latest movie release or game release. In my case I was a student, and I was there strictly for compensation and discount, and I did not want to be these people's friends. Let's face it they were losers. If you can find a store with clean cut upbeat people than you are lucky. There are great stores at Best Buy, but some store's cultures are rough. It all starts with the GM and the attention to detail when hiring employees.
Advice to Senior Management – Having the top sales at Best Buy starts with "Attitude." If you as a GM or Sales Manager do not have a "positive attitude" than this will reflect directly to your numbers and your success will be damaged. Treat each employee with respect as if they were your neighbor. Build up a sense of "teamwork" in their mind. Let them know that "we're in this together", and after all we are here to "have fun while being the best." BOTTOM LINE: Take care of your people, and they will return the commitment.

I worked at Best Buy
Pros – Great discount. People are usually fun to work with if you are a little younger.
Cons – The day after Thanksgiving. There is nothing fun about getting to the store before it is light outside, seeing the massive number of people camped out, then dealing with the madness once the doors open. Then after the "rush" is over, everything is in a mess. I also do not like dealing with jerk customers.
Advice to Senior Management – Management sets the tone for the rest of the employees. The examples you set have a significant impact on how employees in the store perform and their overall attitude. Managing by fear and intimidation is not the best approach.
