Former Employee – worked at Best Buy full-time for more than a year
Pros – I really enjoyed the additional product training that was provided. I gained some product knowledge from when I worked there that surprised many of my friends. You really do get an entirely new appreciation for the company as a whole. Sure there are some practices that you question, but the environment is awesome and Best Buy is still my store of choice when I shop.
Cons – I didn't realize how crazy customers can be sometimes. Some people come in thinking they know everything about a particular product, when their information is quite the opposite. Some customers are willing to change their stance, but others wholeheartedly believe they are correct.
Advice to Senior Management – I enjoyed not having the pressure to sell (no commission) and this actually helped me with a more relaxed sale approach as opposed to a more aggressive one (in which customers hate aggressive pitches), but there should be more incentives for obtaining sales goals.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

Former Employee – worked at Best Buy part-time for more than a year
Pros – Friendly and positive managers and co-workers. They respect you and care about you. They let me leave for an internship and when I returned I got my job back.
Cons – Some of the required materials you have to sell are ridiculous. They threatened our jobs if we didn't reach a certain number of credit card apps. Store is noisy alarms go off constantly. Customers are idiots that think they're geniuses.
Advice to Senior Management – Refer to cons.

Current Employee – been working at Best Buy full-time for more than a year
Pros – Great work environment if you are working with the right people. Some customers could be a pain in the butt sometimes but for the most part I enjoy helping people out. It's not so much the job itself that keeps me coming in to work every day, its the family that is created with the other employees, even leadership.
Cons – If you are in a department with a lot of conflicting personalities, working with them could be difficult. Sometimes customers are just too much of a pain to deal with, and some create such big problems we just want to tell them to leave, but we cannot.
Advice to Senior Management – Make sure everyone is doing their job, and doing it correctly. Checks and balances need to be in place.
