    Pros

Lots of good training, friendly coworkers, anyone in a supervisor position was the best to deal with compared to working anywhere else, and the discounts/bonuses.

    Cons

Sometimes had weird hours and conflicted with school schedule, our store pushed geek squad services too much, and sometimes had weird high school type drama between coworkers.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work but I really hope we don't lose BB to other competitors like Amazon. Do we really need to sell a $1-10 item for $15-25+?

    Pros

Best buy has flexibility. It is on you to know what you need to get done. There is development and the ability to grow in your career. Corporate campus has a good culture, many amenities. Great benefits.

    Cons

There are many unwritten expectations, such as working extra hours during holiday season, and belittling tasks that are part of the job.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the entry level employees and help them grow.

    Pros

So many people i see one here are complaining about the bonus structure but they fail to mention several key points. ONE managers are hired from within so they know exactly what its like to sell geek squad or make revenue. TWO the entire store bonuses when the managers bonus. Is it the same amount NO but name a store were the sales people make more than managers. THREE the revenue and attachment goals are completely laughable any remotely trained sales person who cares to preform well can reach them. Also Best Buy spends a fortune on training I personally have had 3 weekends were they have paid for my gas food hotel room and hours. Keep in mind this wasn't a 29.99 hotel room it was a down town Sheridan. Best Buy also has the highest retail starting pay.

    Cons

The average age of a best buy employee is 24. many of these workers haven't had serious jobs and are under motivated and whine about the most mundane things.

    Advice to Management

Don't bother telling people over and over about goals if they arent trying to reach them just get rid of them.

    Pros

Friendly management, great starting pay, and thorough training programs made this a great first job. Enjoyed starting my work career here.

    Cons

Doesn't always support its "have fun while being the best" value. Requires nonstop effort to close even when there is no business

    Advice to Management

The training programs are great, but somewhat redundant to a point. Online learnings and off-site training start to become a little redundant.

    Pros

Best buy is an okay place to work at but I would recommend something that pays just a bit more...

    Cons

Better pay to start and less time complaining about taking a messily 15 minute break on shifts

    Advice to Management

Keep your employees happy and they'll work efficiently.
