    Smart, talented employees who generally care, and strong renewed focus on what matters, including ensuring trained staff on the sales flloor. Lesdership is not afraid to tackle tough problems to find cost savings, as well as create new growth opportunities.

    Cons

    Web plafform has been constrained and truly limited opportunities - hope the new west coast team is a start in improving this channel. And with the tightened focus, most teams are expected to follow the plan, with only a few teams focused on strategy which is a big cultural shift from the past.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Great business leadership, but some of the fun is missed. Ongoing training would benefit corporate teams, especially to stay sharp on the industry.

    Training, ever changing, customer interaction focused, interesting products.

    Cons

    If you don't *want* to make this job fun and fruitful, you certainly don't have to. If you end up in management, it can be a difficult place to enjoy a work/life balance.

    Ensure that you are managing numbers for more than the sake of financial results. Personal gains (bonuses) don't motivate all sales people.

    a lot of turnover in certain positions. some managers are easy to work with others not so much. mobile never actually hit the bonuses they said were possible

    Pros

    You'll learn so much about how businesses operate from P&L, Marketing, HR, Sales, Merchandising, Accounting, Inventory, Logistics, Customer Service, Sales, etc... Selling skills. Once you learn how to sell it can be fun and rewarding. Great employee discount. When you have good supervisor and cohesive sales team to work with it makes your job that much easier, fun, and rewarding.

    Cons

    Hiring outside employees at the same pay as you when you're a top salesman in your district. 3rd year 19 cent yearly raise. Multiple reorganizations that shakes up the structures of stores. Managers turn over frequently. The stores technology used for POS and SOP can be so slow and archaic. Partial unfair bonus structure that's weighted partly on factors out your control (Online Sales). Working on Thanksgiving and missing your family.

    Give better pay to high performing sales people, not hiring outside employees at the same as current tenured employees, and change the bonus structure to make it within factors the employees can control (Hitting the store's budget not depending on website traffic and sales).
