    Pros

Great co-workers, Decent Pay and always opportunities. There are fantastic benefits such as 401K matching, tuition assistance, and employee discount.

    Cons

There is a lot of pressure on sales goals, however you are given every tool to succeed. If you can't meet your goals, it is truly your own work ethic standing in the way. Every Best Buy Management varies store to store so every experience is different.

I worked at Best Buy part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

At least the store I worked at (Paramus), we had a good management. The GM and supervisors were fun to talk to. The coworkers are also nice and got paid a fair salary.

    Cons

Their "incentive" is capped at 15% of your monthly pay. This isn't an individual incentive but a department incentive. So it's rare to consistently get the bonus. They talk about marginal notion constantly which is understandable but really need motivate the salesman as well.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More training and helping the sales staff can be beneficial.

I have been working at Best Buy full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

I still love going to work everyday. The training is phenomenal and the managers and supervisors don't babysit you. They expect you to know how to do your job and trust you to do it. Like many positions, you get what you put into it. If you work hard, you will be recognized and will move up. Within 3 months of working with the company I was given full time status and made a specialist in my department. Everybody has a generally good attitude and the atmosphere is fun.

    Cons

The company does like to change the way they do things on an employee level quite often. Different supervisors have different things that they think will work, so if your supervisor changes, expect changes in your department. It sometimes feels like they try a shotgun approach to encouraging an increase in your personal sales goals, trying several different tactics hoping that one will motivate you. In the end, however, they are also pretty flexible so as long as you are meeting the goals, it is not a big deal.

    Pros

Wide variety of products on offer
Price match with many established large online sellers
    Knowledgeable staff
    Regular good discounted price offers
    Many near locations throughout USA
Good optional extra warranty for Ipads/Macbooks for one time total replacement

    Cons

Gets crazy around Black Fridays lol

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire more Full-time staff that will stay around for most of the day rather than being switched from one part-timer to another during busy shift changes, as that will allow them to have more time with customers for a successful sale with less hand overs to the next shift that have to read the paperwork before speaking to the customer to know what they are looking to buy/inquire about?

*** I really liked working with my fellow colleagues as we all brought our own experiences & skills to share to help each other which is what a good job is all about! ***
