I worked at Best Western full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

It is nice that some rules can be bent in a private company. You have to answer to the brand on a lot of things but not on rules followed for how things are run.

    Cons

When there is a problem with the way the company is run you cannot go to the flagship company to have the issues fixed. I managed for 2 years and the rules changed on a daily basis. Turnover rate was high due to lack of pay and treatment of staff.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take some management courses and treat your staff with respect. Listen to your staff for they are what makes your company great.
