    Cons

Hours are flexible but bad scheduling. Would not know which days you were off until the week of.

    Pros

Working with the public and meeting potential people who might lead to another place of employment and to better your chances for advancement

    Cons

Management doesn't care about the people who make the company money. Treat the employees with dignity and appreciation for all the hard work they do for the company

    Advice to Management

Learn to care about your employees and. maybe take time to listen to ideas from the employees and not just think that your ideas are the best there is. There are people who work there that could help make wonderful changes and make it a much better place to work. Actually make it a pleasant experience to work for you

  3. Don't even bother. The company could not care less about its employees. They only focus on the negative.

    Pros

Flexible hours is about the only nice thing I can think of to say. Some of the other employees are what made it bearable.

    Cons

Upper management does not ever back up or support the team. They only care about their bottom line. The pay is minimal and the customers can be rude.

    Pros

Depending on management, you get flexible hours
Also dependent on location - I had very nice coworkers

    Cons

One person is expected to do too much - how can you be front desk, concierge, reservationist all at once? Pay is low end of average

    Advice to Management

Perhaps consider how the people representing your brand are actually running the hotel

    Pros

Great co-workers. Work is fun and interesting. The hotel rooms are good. The guests and customers are great to work with. Get to eat the hotel breakfast if you work morning shift. Can do homework at work when it's slow.

    Cons

Generally understaffed in the evenings with two people (a front desk and bellman) even when pretty busy. It's still manageable but can be pretty difficult. Limited opportunity for advancement although to be fair the entire hotel industry is like that. Lower pay - generally $8.50-$9.00 an hour starting with the possibility of 25 cent raises every 6 months.

    Advice to Management

Honestly the management at Best Western Cottontree is incredibly good. Sometimes they make bad decisions but even then it's usually the best decision possible given the difficult circumstances.

  7. Over worked under paid, no chance to get a raise dead end or temporary job.

    Pros

    FLEXIBLE hours
    Coworkers can be friendly.
Depending on the Best Western - Free Food
    Insurance

    Cons

    Coworkers can be nasty
    Drunk customers
    Dealing with customers problems alot
Visits from the police to the hotel happen often

    Advice to Management

If a problem is reported, take your employee aside and calmly talk to them. Leaving notes for other people on the next shift can sound aggressive. Understand that the job isn't easy, we aren't paid enough to care about how well something gets done.

The current employees were so nice and family like and made me feel like one of THEM on my first day.

    Cons

When you are hired there for a department, you aren't in just that department YOUR WHEREVER THEY NEED YOU HOWEVER this is not explained in interview and this is just Wrong!!

    Advice to Management

Management are the ones who should be made to work every department and then fill in where needed!!
