Pros – -Supportive and collaborative team environment
-A ton of opportunity for growth
-Open, honest culture
-Exposure to interesting clients and technology
-Generously rewarded for performance

Cons – -As with most startups things change a lot and very quickly so you have to be flexible
- Candidates can be unpredictable

Advice to Senior Management – Continue to hire the right people and be consistent when dealing with performance issues.

Pros – Hard work is rewarded- they have uncapped commissions that directly reflect your hard work and success. Everyone has a voice in the company and the ability to build out their own business within the company. Such a fun team that is collaborative and supportive of each other. Carolyn is an incredible role model and leader who empowers all of her employees for success.

Cons – As the case with most startups, things change as they continue to discover best practices.

Pros – - The office culture is extremely inviting & friendly
- Plenty of opportunities to move up internally
- Rapidly expanding to new areas including a brand new office in NY
- Great social events to extend network throughout the entire Tech industry

Cons – - Sometimes requires night and weekend work, based off personal effort put forth

Advice to Senior Management – - Very approachable and helpful to both new and existing employees

(some) friendly and cool colleagues
Great location in the city
Social events (happy hours)

Cons – Long hours (Yes, nights and weekends are expected even when they say they aren't)
Little praise if you do a good job
Tracked on EVERY little metric possible
If you don't hit your metrics, fear of losing your job
Unprofessional management (yelling at employees about performance with others around)
Most everyone works on 100% commission (can be very stressful)
Many of us are looking for a way to get out...

Advice to Senior Management – Focus more on recognizing people for the right reasons. Chill out - everyone is working hard here.

Pros – The energy and balance of a work hard/play hard atmosphere definitely exists within Betts Recruiting. Carolyn does an amazing job of setting her employees up for success. Everyone continually collaborates ideas and feedback, which allows us to develop into a successful team. I can honestly say this is by far one of the best companies I have thus far worked for!

Cons – Must stay extremely organized in order to stay on top of your A game.

Pros – Betts Recruiting sets the bar to be an outstanding recruiting firm that truly cares about the companies and candidates they work with. In order to be successful, employees are encouraged to be experts in their space which always allows for improvement and more to learn. The environment is vibrant and a great place to be while everyone is motivated, enthusiastic and driven. Each employee is a leader and dedicated to their work while also being involved in countless activities and organizations outside of work.

Cons – Being part of the startup world, things are always changing and improving. Things can be hectic from time to time but each employee strives to be as fluid and thorough as possible to ensure things run smoothly! Wearing a lot of hats comes with the territory of being part of an exciting startup!

Advice to Senior Management – Keep offering opportunities to be challenged, additional responsibilities and room for growth. We're hungry to learn and grow as professionals and experts in our industry!

Pros – Betts Recruiting has a dedicated and fun-loving group of recruiters that work hard together & play hard together.
Everyone is extremely motivated to do well, help candidates find the best opportunities for their needs and background and to work with the most innovative and creative technology start-ups in the Bay Area.

Cons – The office is a bit crowded right now- but we are moving offices!
The other downside is a lot of social events in the evening which can take up a lot of your schedule.

Advice to Senior Management – Keep up the good work!
Hire another experienced recruiter and continue to secure great companies to recruit for that are strongly in the wheel-house of tech!

It's a collaborative, supportive, lucrative and nurturing work environment.

Cons – Betts Recruiting is a start-up with limited infrastructure and training. You must be a self-starter and extremely organized to succeed and enjoy your experience working at any start-up.

Pros – Company-wide president's club rewards trips, endless opportunity to grow, uncapped commission structure, health benefits, 401K, regular social events/happy hours, opportunity to work closely with the Bay Area's leading innovative tech startups, feel as if you tackle each day completing meaningful work as you help growing companies build their sales teams and help individuals find their dream jobs, exciting environment in which each day brings new challenges to tackle, GREAT people to work with!

Cons – Not very many downsides other than benefits continue to improve as the company continues to grow exponentially with each year in business!

Advice to Senior Management – The leadership at Betts Recruiting is amazing! The CEO listens to all suggestions from all levels of the employees. This fosters an environment in which you have the opportunity to both share your ideas and have them implemented the next day. My advice would be to maintain this open sharing/collaborative environment as the company continues to grow!

Pros – Amazing people, great clients, open environment, dinners and lunches out, high commission rates, everyone encourages each other's success, ability to grow however you would like.

Cons – There aren't too many cons other than they don't have a full benefit package yet, but they are working on it as they hire more people.

Advice to Senior Management – Keep doing what you are doing and don't hire less than stellar people as you grow. I love working here!
