    Pros

-Very fun group of people make it feel like a big family -Opportunity to create your own career path and expand your skill set -Not a ton of micro management or a long approval process: things get done (relatively) fast -Great non-monetary compensation and benefits -Work with some of the most exclusive clients in the world

    Cons

-Agency pay in general is mediocre -High turnover rate for certain roles -Slight lack of process to ensure work is completed efficiently

    Advice to Management

Increase incentives to keep employees long-term, take feedback from employees at all levels into account when making company-wide decisions.

    Pros

Casual and creative environment, decent benefits, and diverse projects with a range of big-name clients. It's a good company for someone starting out in the field and looking to build a portfolio.

    Cons

Below-market-rate salaries, casual sexism, and a seriously incompetent HR department. There's a lot of cronyism, and the rules seems to apply differently to different people. The casual attitude that makes the office fun unfortunately applies to management, as well—if someone makes you a promise, be sure to get it in writing.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your team. Spend the extra money to hire the right people instead of hiring friends on the cheap.

    Pros

The benefits are AWESOME. 25 days of vacation each year, 8 paid company holidays, paid birthday time off if it falls on a regular working day, paid office closure between christmas and new years.

    Cons

The company is still trying to figure out what exactly it is. This will surely be remedied in the upcoming months!

    Advice to Management

It would be great if Beyond had its own space instead of sharing with its sister company. Having its own space would really accelerate the development of the company culture.

    Pros

I have worked for several agencies all of which have common themes. Frustration with resourcing, long hours at times and not enough time to deliver the quality of work due to budget constraints. This can sometimes be said about Beyond too but the biggest difference between Beyond and similar agencies is its people. I have never worked with such talented, hardworking and genuinely nice people. People who you not only regard as colleagues but also as friends. The heads of departments are a testament to the hard working nature of Beyond and the superior quality of work that is delivered by their teams. The teams work collaboratively together to produce the best work possible. In the last six months Beyond has seen some big changes one of which being the appointment of a new member to senior management. With this new hire we have seen some great changes - Improvements in processes / delivery and communication across the board. People generally don't like change but in this instance she has improved our professionalism allowing us to be able to grow as a business. It’s an exciting time to be part of the beyond team. All 3 general managers across the offices have their different styles and approach to management but are all brought together by how much they genuinely care about their staff. They all go the extra mile to listen, empower and encourage their teams to be the best they can be.

    Cons

Beyond are still growing and with this can come teething pains and focus needs to be on having global processes put in place. That being said the wheels are in motion and change is starting to happen. Forward planning in terms of resourcing has always been a weakness but longer-term strategies are enabling us to make some more key hires

    Advice to Management

Give more time to the teams away from project work to learn new skills and keep up to date with market trends.

    Pros

Culture is generally good, full of people you genuinely want to hang out with. Great clients and good opportunities to work on great projects with big budgets. Nice offices with a good vibe. Ping pong tables, drinks and snacks on tap. Salaries are competitive but could be better. Nice benefits like life insurance, £500 a year to spend on something you want.

    Cons

One member of the senior management is downright nasty and rude. Can make days miserable if you're working for her. HR is poor. Employee well being is not a high enough priority. There are also lots of broken promises and staff are often left in the dark as to why. Company needs to be far more transparent to avoid losing great talent. Suffers from the classic "last man standing" syndrome where it seems like a competition as to who can work the latest. Reliance on freelancers with isn't sustainable. Senior mgmt always talk about big plans to grow but don't have the balls to make the hires to allow that to happen.

    Advice to Management

Take more risks. Hire people before and back yourself to get the work to grow. Reign the aforementioned person in. She makes the office miserable and has been responsible for at least two people leaving the company directly.

    Pros

Really solid people working beside you, to echo a previous review these are people you want to hang out with. Good roster of clients with some attractive "big names" and big budget projects.

    Cons

No real long term plan or if there is then management have no interest in being transparent about it. Very little care for your emotional, mental or physical health as work-life balance is poor. The atmosphere and energy in the office is very negative with management especially lacking the leadership skills necessary to get the best out of people. There have been times where I've overheard senior management talking amongst themselves about employees in a very negative light - even whilst at the office. This is frankly unacceptable. Very clear delineation between upper management and "everyone else" with a sense of favouritism that splinters the office. Some really dire projects are taken on that nobody wants to work on for the sake of making targets. High-level plans are said to be in motion but are never spoken of again on both a personal and organisational level. Promises are made and broken regularly. And a reference to the previous review - a certain member of the senior management team needs to be managed more effectively. There's no excuse for a toxic person to undermine the happiness of your staff regardless of how brilliant she might be.

    Advice to Management

Start leading your employees to greatness. Make people feel valued - take the time out of what you're doing and listen to them. Don't insult your staff by talking lowly of them at the office.

    Pros

Really impressive research arm, and some very smart people responsible for it. High level and high quality analytics.

    Cons

The culture, particularly in London, is very alpha male dominated. Promotions and credit are given to those who shout loudest and are friends with the right people which is detrimental to relationships, work and career progression. Not afraid to put pressure on employees to deliver work in tight deadlines through working overtime.

    Advice to Management

The culture of the company is very thin and fragile. Alcohol and computer games are great, but are no replacement for fundamentals such as support, respect and fairness.
