I worked at Beyond the Rack full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Some of the employees were great. There was a sense of camaraderie because we were all dealing with the same mis-management issues. Good pay.

    Cons

Nepotism is probably the big problem with this company. Sexism is another. They try to guilt you into working overtime insinuating that you have to work extra to keep your job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop hiring friends and relatives for management positions. Take sexism within the company as a serious issue not to be brushed off.

I worked at Beyond the Rack full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Good opportunities for IT, marketing and creative professionals. Everyone else are not so lucky. The type of business is demanding and can be rewarding if you are willing to live in the office.

    Cons

You will work every weekend, holiday, night, unless you are jewish. Managers will call you or email you at anytime of night, weekends and holidays. No respect for personal time at all. You have to be available 24/7.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Layoff people who actually deserve it, not just to balance the books.

    Pros

The atmosphere is friendly, there is a sense of community in departments. A great involvement towards the Montreal fashion industry.

Share your vision with the whole company, or it's just day to day repetition.
