I have been working at Bharat Electronics

    Pros

    Public Sector organization.
    A lot of learning opportunities
    Great infrastructure.
Shift timings are good and free good quality meal.
You get opportunity to work on govt. projects.

    Cons

I was trainee in the company and permanent staff treat trainees as they are nothing.
Noone gives you proper respect and thinks that you r a slave.
Senior staff is good but only they work otherwise lot of employees only wander in the campus most of the times.
    The stipend is very low.
In HR departmendepartment there is no one to clear ur queries.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep a strict eye on black sheep employees
    Increase the stipend of trainees.
There should be process to give trainees opportunity to get permanent via internal hiring with fair and proper recruitment process.

I have been working at Bharat Electronics (more than an year)

    Pros

One gets a chance to be a part of some great projects and get on board to ships and aircrafts-not meant for everyone.
    Pride comes naturally.
Good balance between professional and personal life.

    Cons

The company's management lacks vision and to make India stand ahead in tne world of defence electronics,it needs to tighten its BELt.
Salary package is not worth comparable to other Navratnas.

I worked at Bharat Electronics full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Priority on work but no least compromises on life as well, No restraint on exploring any technology, just you need to have the fire. You work closely with Indian defence and feel their life. Overall a good company to work with

    Cons

Growth mostly on seniority + performance. Seniority is must, performance is enabler. Lots of travel if you are in project. Salary will be comparatively lesser than your peers in other companies, however other benefits may compensate for salary, depending on person to person. HR policies are more rule based and non-flexible. A young graduate joining this company is prone to enter into complacency and lethargy if he does not has the fire to blow himself up. You keep your senses controlled, rest all is fine.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Come out of PSU culture. Have flexible HR policies. Revise age old policies and definitely look at the good and potential candidates for their dissatisfaction.

I worked at Bharat Electronics full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great infrastructure. Good place for electronic engineers to start their career. Good starting salary. the working time is 8 to 4, so lots of time is their to do your further studies.

    Cons

Nightmare for mechanical guys!!! Do not think you will be doing any engineering. Your life will be limited to autocad and small modelling in solidworks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to retain the talent. Talented guys left the company or they are in the process of leaving it.
