    Great place to learn

    Associate Vice President (Former Employee)
    Mumbai (India)

ProsBharti AXA Life offers lots of exposure and learning opportunity. It has a lean operations model and high usage of technology.

ConsAs any life insurance company in india post 2011, there is a lot of pressure on meeting sales targets. This is increasingly becoming difficult since new regulations by IRDA. The industry is going through a transformation phase. Bharti AXA life has experimented with several sales models some very innovative. It has yet to lay its hands on the success mantra to kick start sustainable sales.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe sales number volatility is impacting brand image across all customer interfaces. Senior management needs to be more cohesive.

Mixed emotion about something that could have been a long lasting association.

    Branch Head (Former Employee)
    Shillong (India)

Prosdecent salary & perks, infrastructure provided by the company is impressive. trainings are comprehensive

ConsNot innovative or bold at all with their products which are always slow in catching up with products of rival companies. locations are far too scattered and few. there seems to be no study done on viability of branches. some branches are over equipped with unnecessary infrastructural inputs which put an overburden on the cost-profit ratio. I solely blame the management for these wasteful expenses due to which so many branches had to be closed although they had good potential for business. They lack practicality which has pull them two steps behind for every forward step they took. The sense of security and belonging was absent (at least in my case)

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease check you attrition rate especially among senior mangers at the branch level. they are the backbone of the company & irreplaceable. Learn to listen more often from the grass root level. remember they are the ones dealing face to face with the clients, not you. Changes may be necessary but not always fruitful, follow the wise old saying, "if it ain't broken...don't fix it". If your idea is to make money in this, then spend judiciously too. you don't need Air Conditioned offices where God has provided an ideal weather. you are wasting money. It will be more fruitful if you constitute a fact finding team to stay in a place and do a thorough study before you set up your establishments and do a viability study. Always include the locals more. THEY KNOW the place are will have more reason to be involved in making the business grow. Make every employee feel he/she is important. Too many dont's are not healthy from growth. DO NOT outsource operations staff. it creates a bad air. they need to be a team with the sales, not rivals.
