I worked at Big 5 part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Big 5 is one of those companies that gives people that chance that they need to earn some work experience and they are the definition of an energetic work environment that. Not to mention managers are very understanding when an employee needs to take a day off and will rarely ever say no unless need help badly for the day you asked off for.

    Cons

Sometimes can cut hours for odd reasons.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It's neither fair or mature to play favorites in the workplace. Return/exchange policy is ridiculous! It allows customers to bring back any item, whether worn, damaged, broken, etc.; as long as there's a receipt, they will be reimbursed or given a brand new item.

I worked at Big 5 part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

They'll hire anyone who seems to have their stuff together. You can get a job there if your really hurting to find a job.

    Cons

...They'll hire anyone who seems to have their stuff together. They pay so little that no one stays there for a long time, their employees are a revolving glass door. They expect you to do all this work even though they start you off at a low pay and give little to no raises.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay your employees a littler more and you might have to hire every person who applies.
