    Pros

I worked as a camp counselor and it was fun to interact with everyone; the kids, parents, co-workers. You learn so much and you're having fun all day running around with the kids and playing kids. The best time is in the summer when you can take them to the pool and hiking.

    Cons

Very labor intensive. Make sure you have a high stamina and that you love kids. Some days the kids are amazing and other days they can be behind rowdy. If you stress or get frustrated easily this is not the job for you!

    Advice to Management

Please account for all hours working. At times, payments are less than what is expected and there have been many times where this has happened.

I worked at Big Vanilla Athletic Club part-time

    Pros

You get a free gym membership and everybody around you is healthy and positive.

    Cons

The training is not very good, you have to deal with parents and there is little room for growth

    Advice to Management

Increase training opportunities, provide longer breaks, be more flexible with scheduling

    Pros

the atmosphere is more like a hang out than a job. Management is very relaxed.

The pay is poor, there are no benefits or raises. Rules are fuzzy and management does what they want.

    Advice to Management

Don't forget about your hourly staff. They are the ones doing your work.

I have been working at Big Vanilla Athletic Club full-time

    Pros

-the members are Great. -The people on the same level of you are very supportive. -Most employees actually are friends. - They do care about employee safety -meetings always have alot of laughter

    Cons

-small place word get's around fast. -same conversions over and over...management likes to beat a dead horse -fearing you'll do something to get written up -employees are constantly blamed for issues that they can't control and you hear an ear-full of yelling here and there.

    Advice to Management

listen to your lower level employees that deal with the members on a day to day basis for improvement
