Pros
Great people and smart engineers
Cons
low stock price and options
Pros
Learning opportunity, highly qualified individual contributors
Cons
HR is a joke they like to make a ruckus for no reason at all
Pros
"Silicon Valley" hours. Good benefits. Decent pay.
Cons
No 360degree reviews. Good employees constantly left. Lacked transparency and communication. Management unaware of their own faults and errors.
Advice to Senior Management
Look to other amazing tech companies as examples of great companies. Communicate vision and goals more clearly.
Pros
The pay is good but the hours required are long. A very structured company with daily and hourly directives from management. Good place to work for a manager.
Cons
From the very top management is blind to their own mistakes. It is a structured company with managers micro-managing all the grunts.
Pros
People are very friendly, managers are flexible and understanding. Good salaries and benefits
Certain locations are fun to work at
Cons
lack of transparency
lack of communication from the management
stealth layoffs, we have had few already without prior notifications and its always sad see co worker let go or leave.
Advice to Senior Management
improve on employee communications. Keep us all in the loop.
$$$ and time on forecasting and planning of future products and company's direction
Pros
good place. good people. good school.
Cons
tends to be hectic from time to time.
Advice to Senior Management
none
Pros
Interesting Technology but no real business opportunities and need.
Cons
high turnover. They hire poeple and the existing employees do not give a real chance to the new employees.
Advice to Senior Management
Na
Pros
pay is not bad if company's revenue is good. Sometime you can have some bonus. But no salary raise for a long time
Cons
management is poor depends on the manager. There is no communication from the manager, mostly we talk is job related
Pros
Great people and great environment. I have never had a better job and I have been working at the professional level for about 15 years.
Cons
Not many cons. Just hope the company will not get taken over so that we can all keep our jobs. Salaries were frozen (no annual increases) for 2 years now due to the economic climate and there are now 2 forced shutdowns per year. These are cons, but were required to keep the company from losing money. In the end, it saved jobs and we are all like a family at BBND, so you have to take the good with the bad.
Advice to Senior Management
Chin-up. Let's make this year a good one.
Pros
Great salary, good bonuses. One can establish his own work hours - e.g. come at 10:00 and leave at 20:00. There is no tracking of your working hours what soever (no time-card to stamp when you come/leave). The work is quite interesting for those who love the field of Video over internet. The programming is quite complex and challenging, on the edge of Object Oriented.
Cons
Despite the fact of making your own working hours, one is still expected to work long hours. If one in not on a leading project, he will probably end up fixing bugs most of his time. In order to advance in career, it is absolutely insufficient to be a professional - one must be in very close relationships with the management (smoke with them, go to lunch with them, etc) - there is no other way.
The stock is going only in one direction - down.
Advice to Senior Management
Promotions should be given to the best professionals/leaders, not to close friends, who can't write a single line of code. Define expectations more clearly. Give more vacations and support work-life balance. The company is not a struggling start-up anymore.
