I have been working at Binary Tree full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

The company has been -- and continues to be -- on a growth path. Management is very transparent about financials, so everyone knows what needs to be done to meet goals, and profit sharing is offered when goals are met. Employees can WFH every day. Health benefits are very inexpensive, as in cheaper than companies 5x its size. Employees are provided excellent training benefits, which are crucial in the technology space.

    Cons

Since many people who work for Binary Tree can be remote, most meetings are phone-based. It's tough to draw the line between work and home time since many WFH.

I worked at Binary Tree full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Working remotely, company parties, bonuses.

    Cons

Managers play favorites, employee morale is quite low, constant bickering between teams and managers, CEO is completely disconnected from the company, not enough resources to get the work done, product quality is awful, QA is a joke, constant turnover of employees and management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in enough quality resources to get the work done, consider cleaning house on some managers who have been there for far too long, CEO needs to be better connected with the business.

I have been working at Binary Tree full-time

    Pros

Fun company with great people. Telecommuting every single day allows for unmatched flexibility in schedule. Lots of projects requiring various talent types. Compensation and benefits are very nice. Nobody constantly looking over your shoulder.

    Cons

Balancing work/life when work lives at home with you can be a challenge. Smaller company politics tend to get in the way sometimes. Lack of personal co-worker interaction is a downside.

I have been working at Binary Tree

    Pros

Virtual company, everyone works from home. Very focused, collaborative environment working at fast pace. Every day flies by, always more to do. Nobody hanging over your should, very entrepreneurial. Growing rapidly, technology leader, great salary, benefits and bonuses. Best company party in the world!

    Cons

Much is given, but much is expected. Working out of house means work/life balance is juggling act. Only top performers survive here, so much less downtime than most companies. Not much personal interaction.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep those communication lines open between departments, more coaching please!
