I have been working at BioClinica full-time

    Pros

    - public company with 500 employees makes you feel like your contributions can really affect the bottom line
    - most products are technologically ahead of competitors offerings, allowing for great growth potential
    - 30 total days off per year is well above average in US (9 holidays + 21 vacation/sick days)
    - Strong teams and sense of teamwork in most areas I have seen
    - Open to new product lines and market areas
    - The pharma/clinical community has a generally high level of respect for BioClinica products

    Cons

    - Geographic diversity (Philadelphia, Boston, Seattle, New London, Lyon France, Leiden Netherlands) means spreading out a small work force
    - Management tends to be conservative with its finances

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend aggressively to stay ahead of the competition and focus on the many technology gaps that still exist in the clinical environment

I have been working at BioClinica full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Very Flexible schedule atleast 1 day a week work from home will allow more if needed, Knowledgeable staff co-workers always willing to lend a helping hand. Great Vacation, Everyone is very personable and generally pleasant to work with

    Cons

Too much middle management , Say they allow career growth but never happens , dont assume that everyone wants to stay in the same position until they retire., If you want a promotion you have to apply via website unless you are a manager , Director or VP. A little Clicky, Low Pay and Benefits are a bit high . Company used to have quarterly update meetings to keeep staff posted on the profits and whether goals were being met and new buisiness

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Dont wait until an employee hands in there resignation to inquire 'What can we do to keep you ?". Management and HR should look to promote from within. There should be a clear path for career growth set by management and followed. Being busy shouldn't be an acceptable reason why some great workers are waiting on the bench for you to take notice of their talents

    Pros

Small company - politics not a huge issue. You know you're colleagues. Access to directors and senior management.

    Cons

Like with any small company, it grows and slowly begins to sell out trying to gain the big clients etc...

    I worked at BioClinica

    Pros

They are not micromanagers. Everyone is easy to get along with. Works with several pharm companies which give you good experience

    Cons

Too many meetings.. Not enough room for advancement opportunities. Deals only with imaging aspects of clinical trials in the Newtown office.

    Some good, some bad

    I worked at BioClinica

    Pros

benefits are pretty good (21 PTO days per year, tuition reimbursement). 401k employer match could be better. met some good people there.

Don't pay attention to the other reviews that say upper management is out of touch, or that the pay is low. you get that complaint anywhere you work.

    Cons

buying too many companies too rapidly. this frustrates the employees and the clients.

some managers are hard to work for, but some are good. depends on what department you choose.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

don't sign contracts with clients that promise more than you can deliver. it's OK to push your employees a bit, but make sure you have enough resources to follow through.

    Pros

Great people who work hard and are dedicated to the customers. Lot's of potential to grow, but the corporate BS is getting in the way. Stupid new org structures designed to just provide more senior management. shared services for a small company? crazy? CEO is a nice guy who doesn't know anything and does not do anything but look out for himself, CFO is incompetent and hides from people, CTO is an ego maniac and the investors don't know what's going on.

    Cons

going private put lots of money in the CEO's pocket, a little in some other peoples and the future and promise faded away.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You got your money, retire already. hopefully a leader will come save the company. smart people have left or are leaving, ship is going down.

    Pros

It is growing company. The people are nice to work with and has good working environment. The workload is balanced. .

    Cons

company is still growing every year . There were lots of mergers. Nothing negative about the company. Benefits are okay compared to other companies.

  10.

I worked at BioClinica full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Good product line potential. Good looking presence in the market. Decent compensation and benefits.

    Cons

Lack of accountability at senior levels. Tendency to over promise on what can be delivered. Rather impersonal senior management. No real commitment to employee retention.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

View you employees as the individuals they are. Be direct/transparent in critiquing employees. Adopt a culture of retaining and developing employees rather than using them as a means to an end.

I have been working at BioClinica

    Pros

Still some thoughtful gestures made toward employees, probably started back when the company was small. Good vacation.

    Cons

Too much middle management. Becoming way too corporate with all that entails.
