Pros
Great learning enviornment, servicing people that are dealing with challanging health issues. The professionals in my office are hard working & enjoyable to be with during a stressful workday.
Cons
Unfortunately corporate mergers have caused poor morale due to necessary benifits being cut. The executives are forgetting that happy employees create a secure & profitable company.
Advice to Senior Management
Talk to ALL employees and really listen to wise advice.
Pros
Smaller company that creates more personal work relationships. When you need a day off or shift change they do adhere more than the huge companies.
Cons
No one uses Dos anymore ONLY BioScrip. This company is SO behind the times! There is no professionalism. Gossip spreads faster than wild fires. HIPPA doesn't exist. Management sucks. Can see why they had to sell the pharmacy to Walgreens. BioScrip completely blows!
Advice to Senior Management
May you land a job at Walgreens because there is no way you are getting hired anywhere else. Good Luck!
Pros
Core back office products that match the business objectives. Field representatives are highly motivated. Leadership knows and understands their own domain.
Cons
A significant lack of direction - frequent changes in direction based in seeing a new hot, sexy alternative.
A phenomenal amount of waste appears to be acceptable.
Advice to Senior Management
Build a strategic goal and make business decisions based on those goals.
Review the organizational structure and correct the redundancy and waste.
Pros
Constantly learning new processes. No holidays or Sundays. You actually get a lunch break. Make real connection with referral sources. Casual work attire.
Cons
Computer system is horrible. Your work week is never 40hours more like 60 hours. You will not receive any compensation for that. Forget about the bonus it doesn't exist. A written warning is a termination warning . Human resources will say that they will help in anyway possible. Don't believe them start looking for a new job. If anyone in upper management doesn't like you they will find any reason possible to get rid of you. They do not consider how long you have worked for them nor do they take in consideration that its the first warning in your file.
Advice to Senior Management
Re-educate upper management. Work with employees to better themselves. Don't ensure failure just because you have a personal issue. Look at your track record numerous employees let go for reasons that could have been easily improved . Why not make employees feel secure?
Pros
Great for Workaholics who don't mind working extra hours without compensation.
Cons
Poor management directed at increase of sales and inappropriate business tactics.
Computer system is horrible and very frustrating to work with.
Poor work/life balance. Expected to work extra hours without compensation.

Pros
Bioscrip was very customer/patient oriented. Their customer service department was very down to earth and related to customers on their level. Most companies have csr's that sound like a computer generated message... not at Bioscrip.... they treated every customer like family and always went over and beyond their normal duties.
Cons
Management is far from being top notch. They seem as if they really don't care about the "customer service" aspect. They seemed to be more into each other and what upcoming plans outside of work they had scheduled. The most difficult part to fathom is the fact that middle management (and even some upper management) knowingly hide issues that are detrimental to the company. Work is piled onto hourly workers that seem to never complain even though it is clear that upper management has no clue that those workers are actually doing so much more that they are required to do. But the saddest thing is that there is an upper management "clique" and if you upset certain people or disclose certain issues to the higher ups then you seem to be placed on a "red flag" list and they will do anything to try to get rid of you. One last issue is their severe lack of communication within departments.
Advice to Senior Management
I would suggest that they really take a look at upper management to see exactly how knowledgeable they are about the company and it's processes. The open door policy that they believe they have in place needs a serious look into. They need to be aware of the fact that their employees will not discuss issues with upper management out of fear of retaliation which could result in losing their job. That is a huge issue that I don't believe the leadership of Bioscrip believes exists. They also need to be fair in their internal promotion process as it seems as if people are chosen because of who they are friends with and it should be based on experience, intelligence and attendance. They also need to realize there are things that are kept secret from top management, some due to mistakes being made or issues truly never being resolved, and in the pharmaceutical industry this could be detrimental.
Pros
Good room for advancement is a big plus for this company. They like to promote college graduates for advancment.
Cons
The location is a little far from the Columbus area. Other than that, I would say there are not too many.
Advice to Senior Management
I think the management does a great job at recognizing the good qualities of his or her employees at Bioscrip.
