    I worked at Biomet full-time

    Pros

Decent benefits, Microfix location is a dream place.

    Cons

Pretty motto, emotional stories based on attractive core values, but its all a lie top to bottom. No differents from other sharks in the tank, if not even worse. Politics rule and your succcess there depends very little on performance, experience or embracing the mission statement. Salary stands between lower to standard in industry. Depends where you land (huge mismatch between levels in terms of salary and bonus) i guess this is good for some folks. If you deal with the Gen Manager things may go better (super nice guy), but if your luck rests on the VP level, i wont bet on you. Not much room for advancement.

    Advice to Management

Think of the so much advertised tenants, particularly "what if it were me?" Terrorizing your subordinates wont last forever and ultimately thise who stand strong by you are the ones with better nerves to survive and wait for the chance to break your legs.

I worked at Biomet full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very good organisation and wonderful products. Medical fraternity fond of using the products. Good support from the Product team. Good environment

    Cons

Poor growth if you dont have good connection with top bosses. Favoritism and ex company people whom they work with are given advantages and promotions. if you dont have a god father you are lost and if not will not get promoted and given minimal attention,Poor self discipline and boozing overall with out limits at all levels and no proper respect. Just no game and no proper plan for organisation spread. Mostly firefighting at month end and at dealers

    Advice to Management

Revamp the TOP management and bring a rule of multicultural and multiracial to work with. No excollegues 100^% it spoils the team spirit

    Advice to Management

Base your decisions on work and not popularity.

I have been working at Biomet full-time

    Pros

Generous annual bonus and a great on-site cafe. Most of the people who work there are good people. Good 401K plan.

    Cons

Most of the work is just fixing the mistakes that FDA found. Raises are tiny and opportunities for promotion are few and far between. They love hiring from the outside and there is a really high turnover rate for the executives, so the company direction keeps changing.

    Advice to Management

Management should attend some seminars on how to motivate. They seem to just listen to each other instead of talking and actually listening to employees. Lots of money spent on wasted ideas.

    Pros

Agressive, innovative engineers. The company seeks creative opportunities rather than me-too products found at the competitors. Hard work is rewarded and recognized.

    Cons

Political executives focused on protecting their position. Several executives do not allow those below them to shine too brightly. The good news is, they don't last too long in their position.
