    Pros

Full of resources and opportunity if you are friends with upper management. Competitive pay.

    Cons

Favoritism. Lack of honest communication with the majority of employees, and contingent employees. Large (60%+) layoffs without notice. Lack of training for new permanent and contingent employees.

    Advice to Management

Train managers to train new coming employees.

    Pros

I met some lifelong friends at B&V that were of great support during some difficult and stressful years of employment.

    Cons

This organization is full of executive leadership that wants only to control and have power over people. I would classify these individuals as adult bullies. There are a multitude of managers that take credit for the work of their subordinates and talk openly about issues within the workplace (including health issues) of these subordinates, obviously violating HIPAA. I many times saw individual contributors being released from the organization when really it should have been those at the management level being released. Those within management are quick to throw subordinates under the bus - it's an us vs. them mentality. If you aren't 'liked' by your manager you can bet you won't advance at all in the organization. Period. A truly dysfunctional and toxic organization.

    Advice to Management

I would highly encourage management to attend some training on simply how to treat others with respect and dignity. The old saying, 'treat others how you would like to be treated.' This has been lost at B&V. The leadership at the very top level, specifically CEO, needs to open their eyes as to what is going on within the business. People are being treated very poorly and even bullied.
