    Pros

There are many smart people there who know wireless standard pretty well. You can learn a lot from lots of people.

    Cons

Our department was close down due to down sizing. The management team is acting slow to turn the company around. Lol!

    Advice to Management

    Wish blackberry all the best

    Pros

    Good people to work with.

    Cons

Poor compensation, no raises for two years, then measly 3%. Ridiculous!

    Pros

gave me great experience. They took a chance on me when I moved internally into a position I was still studying.

    Cons

discovered that experience is way more important to them than a personality. I was end dated and the only one person they kept in the department was the one who didn't play well with others, but she had uber experience. I was glad I was end dated, I don't want to work for a company like that.

    Advice to Management

Take a look at more than experience when you decide who to keep when you have to downsize.

    Pros

    - Worked on some high-profile applications for the company (65 million+ active users)
    - Excellent co-workers
    - No office-politics

    Cons

-Executive leadership (as is obvious by now) was not very good, foremost example of this were demands to do things but were not able to back up why we should do them.

    Advice to Management

    - Keep on doing what you're doing. Things are looking up these days!
    - Listen to your employees. If you can't convince them that something is going to be a good product, they're not going to put their best effort into it.

    Pros

    great work environment
    great pay and benefits
early on there was lots of room for movement
    free parking

    Cons

lots of layoffs due to the decreased market share. They could have done more to compete. Apple and samsung basically ate their lunch.

    Advice to Management

    innovate more

    Pros

The technology and the pursuit of quality were great reasons to be part of it.

    Cons

Work life balance was poor in my team and teams in the same division.
The company is not doing well, and the outlook is still uncertain.
Values and accountability of senior management were lacking while at the same time employees were constantly lectured about it.

CEO compensation and the goodbye package for the previous CEO didn't seem to be correlated with company performance or the results obtained. Not great for employee engagement and shareholders.

The company seemed to be extremely wasteful.
Insane amount of inventory and even some never used servers were just shredded.

    Advice to Management

I found the direction to be clear for projects and technology but not for the business as a whole.
The feedback loop from the employee to management seemed to be broken.
