Pros
Good pay, flexible schedule, bonuses.
Cons
To many guys that are not military or have security experience.
Advice to Senior Management
Continue bonuses, have a relaxed working enviornment. Treat guys like humans.
Pros
Joe Yorio has terminated 9 VPs, 16 Directors and numerous underperformer and entitlist since taking over. He has quarterly all hands meetings and keeps employees informed. He has empoered us and treats people with dignity and respect. He has eliminated the good old boys network and has hire proven business leader to replaces underperformers. He holds people accountable to standards, has implemented the first ever company-wide employee performance review process and objective incentive program. He is implementating an ESOP and creating a Board of Directors.
Cons
The con at Xe is that they did not hire Joe Yorio sooner. If Mr Yorio would have been our President and CEO 3 years ago, Xe would not have 99% of the problems they are dealing with today.
Advice to Senior Management
Stay the course Mr Yorio. The true employees love what you are doing and support you 100%. The Naysayers are the ones who helped create our problems under the old management and were never held accountable.
Pros
Blackwater, now Xe, takes on some of the toughest jobs in the most in hospitable places in the world. The actual boots they put on the ground are of the highest quality in terms of operational proficiency.
Cons
The company is very poorly managed. It is run by military people, which results in poor communication, a serious lack of business expertise, they see no value in marketing, pr, or sales.
Advice to Senior Management
Only hire proven business managers. All of the people that manage the company either have no business experience (just worked their way up the ladder rapidly because someone got fired) or their past experience is not sufficient for the position they have at BW.
