Pros
People-first culture, commitment to digital excellence, continuous desire to improve and grow
Cons
Tenure can outweigh performance, talent is good but not excellent, location contributes to difficulty in creating truly dynamic ad community in PA
Pros
Great benefits and they pay competitively.
Cons
Be prepared to wait for advancement. VP level is non-existent.
Pros
Truly care about their people and their clients. Senior management very approachable. Very much an entrepreneurial attitude and atmosphere.
Cons
Not easy to recruit top-level talent to Pittsburgh. Should focus on increasing size & presence in Atlanta.
Advice to Senior Management
Shed the staff that are not contributing but getting paid top salary. Invest in young, hungry talent.
Pros
Honestly, Brunner has to be as good of a company to work for as any. The people are talented and culture is tremendous. Cannot imagine a company more supportive of its employees and more serious about offering work/life balance. Very fun place to work.
Cons
Salary is not always great but that's more of an industry issue than anything. The office is very young, but that is certainly not a bad thing for everyone.
Pros
The people are great. The environment is great. They are flexible and caring for personal causes. They care about trying to do the right thing and for growing their employees.
Cons
short staffed but so is every other company.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep on trying to make it a better place. Continue to support true creative opportunities and keeping "your people" first motto.
Pros
Collaborative environment with a strong emphasis on finding the best methods and practices in the industry.
Cons
Just like any agency, a healthy work-life balance can be hard to achieve. Expect crazy hours.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep up the solid work
Pros
The chance to work with very smart people, who bring a wide variety of skills/talents/experiences/points-of-view to the job, and who are dedicated to producing consistently great work. Interesting projects on the cutting edge of the marketing communications profession. Fantastic benefits package, tech support and office facilities. Managers are very supportive of staff and allow all kinds of work flexibility. Relaxed atmosphere, but very serious about getting the job done. Constant opportunities to learn from the best in the business (peers and managers). Colleagues you can count on to rise to the challenge, time after time.
Cons
Not as much regular communication from the top executives as I'd like to see. There's strong leadership and good accessibility/approachability, but I'd like to see/hear the "view from the flight deck" more often. Hours can be grueling when deadlines approach and/or clients order sudden, last-minute changes.
Advice to Senior Management
Find a platform to communicate with all agency staff more often, and use it regularly!
