    Pros

Flexible with my baseball schedule, and with my family. I actually really enjoyed it. Company values were important as well. The pay was really good for being in High School. It paid my fuel and weekend activities. I had fun!!

    Cons

Hard to think of any cons. Its too bad that most video stores are going out of business. Its just the signs of the times with the advance of technology.

    I worked at Blockbuster

    Pros

The best thing about this job was viewing movies before the release date.

    Cons

Poor management, and unrealistic sales goals. Ultimately the biggest issue was poor management in our store.

I worked at Blockbuster full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Provided lots of great customer service and sales experience

    Cons

Far too focused on selling things customers didn't want and not nearly interested enough in providing a pleasant pressure free experience for them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It's kind of too late but I repeatedly emphasized the importance of providing what the customer wanted and not one sales pitch after another. We could have still had great sales numbers by focusing on what would be good for each customer as opposed to being required to pitch everything to everyone.
