Blockbuster Reviews
-
Pros
5 free rentals a week as a perk is the only reason to work there part time.
Cons
No health benefits except for store managers. Hours vary from week to week and if you can't work the hours they want, they find an excuse to fire you. Management doesn't spend much time training you on their very old computer system and if you have trouble selling rewards programs, which are nearly useless in comparison to by mail competitors such as Netflix, you're fired. It's not a great place for minors to work because people want to talk about R rated movies and customers show up drunk a lot.
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to customers and employees and create a company that's nice to work for. Set the standard yourselves instead of always chasing after what Netflix and other companies are doing. Respect customers. They want to watch great movies, not just new releases.
