Pros

You get to work with some of the greatest banking minds of the country. Blom is the #1 bank in Lebanon so its good for your cv.

Cons

Your salary is pretty much a basic salary for working in lebanon so its not too high. You cant move up too high.

Advice to Senior Management

To make the employees more motivated by increasing their salaries and benifits and this woujld keep them from always looking for employment elsewhere.

Pros

Having Blom Bank on your resume will attract future recruiters.
Possibility to work on interesting projects.
New may be adopted from time to time.
You will be surrounded by a very professional team, no matter which department you're at.
You will constantly get to me a certain caliber of professional and interesting people.

Cons

Terrible HR.
Stressful work place.
Low salaries.
In order to give you an acceptable salary increase, they will force you to sign a 10 years contract!!!
Remote parking spots that are expensive and unpaid for by the employer.
Very strict work-hours, with penalty for late minutes even if you had pulled an all-night emergency shift.
Very slow recruitment process.
Many departments are understaffed, you will have to compensate for that by working overtime in order to meet deadlines.
The organization, just like many other employers in Lebanon, is controlled by connections (Wasta, in Lebanese), and this will affect your basic package and your recruitment process.
You will have to pay for your own kitchen-ware (mugs, coffee, sugar, forks, spoons, plates, etc...) if you want to have a cup of coffee or a snack at the work place.

Advice to Senior Management

Pay more, employees will give 110% if they feel that they are getting what they're worth.
Employe more people.
The HR are very slow and they only work as they should when they are sending someone a warning for arriving 5 minutes late.
