I have been working at Bloomin' Brands full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

the loyalty from the j.v. level and down. partners and managers and hourly are very dedicated. have worked at 4 different locations and all have be great in its own way. still a great place to be a server or cook.

    Cons

home office has changed in past 4-5 years. no longer worried about store level people or the Principles and Beliefs. only worried about bottom line no matter how it gets to it. continues to hire people from outside companies that are jumping from old companies that are not doing good and bringing that to bbi.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

when most of the home office staff and officers have left their is obviously something wrong at office. actually live p's and b's.

I have been working at Bloomin' Brands full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Schedule flexibility
    Usually great leadership
3 or more weeks of vacation
Hiring who you want to work for you
    Fast paced, have fun attitude

    Cons

Long hours for the money being paid, usually 12 hour days.
Once you become a manager it's hard to become a managing partner. There is little room to move up unless you want to relocate to the east coast, and let's be honest, the east coast sucks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Some acknowledgement to field managers would go a long way with morale, not just an email.

    Pros

Comp card for restaurant use, free coffee and soft drinks in break room . Covered parking. Some very good peers working their.

    Cons

Employees afraid of loosing their jobs, managers take credit for others work. Some VP's in positions they are not qualified for, they don't have the educational background or experience necessary for their positions. Pay doesn't meet industry standard.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice
