I have been working at Bloomingdale's part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The amount that you can sell has no limit and it has a great employee program. This company will allow you to move up if you open your mind to it.

The executive training program is not as great as it seems. It takes extremely too long to become a store manager.

    I worked at Bloomingdale's

    Pros

    Employee appreciation discounts are great.

    Cons

Management doesn't care about the employees. They are only concerned with the bottom line so you have to be a shark to survive. Especially if you're working in a commission department. The turnover rate is rediculous.

Also loss prevention has been known to racially profile both customers and employees. It's disgusting.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take care of your employees. They are the ones dealing directly with the customers
