“Family Owned Limited Advancement”

Pros

Great Product
Great Line Employees
Great Respect for Family Time
Never Had a Layoff

Cons

Very Low Pay
No Chance for Advancement
No Empowerment to Change
Vacations and Time Off very hard to use
Most supervisors are local candidates that cannot leave the area
No vertical or horizontal career movement
Upper Management is all family. Truly is not what you know but who you know.

Advice to Senior Management

The management should hire less supervisors and empower the few that stay. You need to pay people market value in order to keep talented and educated individuals. It is ok to hire professionals that have been within the industry and have experience.
