Pros
Good Pay
Good Benefits
Good work place
Cons
manager need to listen to employers more.
Pros
Tuition reimbursement
Mag Mile and Lakefront view at Corporate headquarters
Cons
No career training/mentoring programs in place for career advancement
Poor management skills and employee interaction
Do not promote worklife balance
Advice to Senior Management
Develop a mentoring & career development program to develop employees seeking to advance within the company to retain good employees
Pros
Most of the employees are nice. Although a little high school clicky.
Cons
Benefits used to be great. Now well below average. Premiums went up 60% last year, and benefits dropped significantly. $500 ded and 80% after that is the norm, don't forget this is an insurance company your working for. They took 1-3 vacation days away from everyone last year. No more vision benefits. Someone fired at least once a week. Minimal advancement opportunities, as well as low raises in the 1-3% area.
Advice to Senior Management
Your a successful company, you made in profit 439 million in the first quarter of 2011. Stop taking away benefits and laying off employees. don't blame everything on health care reform, that's an opportunity to pick up new members on the exchanges. And again stop screwing your employees, when the economy gets better a lot of us will be looking.
Pros
The benefits are great. Salaries and bonuses are very competitive. Lot of room for advancement. Each day is different with interesting projects. Upper management is knowlegeable and competent.
Cons
Too much work to do. It usually takes more than 40 hours a week. Reviews and goal-setting takes too much time/too much paperwork.
Pros
Wonderful benefits, great work/life balance
Cons
It is difficult to advance
Pros
The benefits are good and the compensation was very good at one point.
Cons
Very little opportunity for advancement, management is very inflexible, no longer a place you would really feel as though you could retire from
Advice to Senior Management
Recognize that the employees are unhappy with your leadership and try to focus on how to change it. The constant changes are expected but stop allowing marketing to dictate the jobs of the CA's by promising the impossible.
Pros
workers are great to work with. Ability to take off when necessary for personal business
Cons
Management should interact with employees on a more professional manner.
Advice to Senior Management
Dont be afraid to talk to your employees, provide good feedback as well as constructive criticism
Pros
it's a great place to work, there is room for growth, depending on who you know. All in all good place to work salaries could be a little better.
Cons
its hard to get ahead in the company unless you know someone. but if you are smart and a hard worker you may just get lucky and get promoted anyway.
Advice to Senior Management
Promote the hardworkers not your friends..
Pros
It's a paycheck, other than that... nothing.
Cons
Upper management plays nothing but the favortism game. I have seen hard working employees lose their jobs while the slacker employees keep theirs. They are getting rid of all the seasoned employees for what so that upper mangement can keep their bonuses. The new motto should be: "Carry the uncarrying card."
Advice to Senior Management
Upper mangement needs to treat their employees with respect and dignity, instead back stabbing them. They always talk about team work, but refuse to allow key employees to be part of the team. Employees are an asset, but this company doesn't understand that. Morale is at an all-time, unproductive low.
Pros
I would have to say the medical benefits for employee insurance. Excellent rates for coverage.
Cons
Salaries are lower than market value regardless of what the Medical Management (Tom, Felicia, Ron) Senior Team identifies. Salaries increase are based on personal relationships with what I call the "Blue Kool-Aide" drinkers. Very similar to the situation at the People's Temple with Jim Jones. If you dont drink, (the BLUE) you will not last in Medical Management.
Advice to Senior Management
Brace Yourself!
This new Kamikaze style of senior managment just might have bad results or consequences!
