    Pros

Excellent pay and benefits, great co-workers and the ability to manage your own work.

    Cons

    Too top heavy upper management.

    Advice to Management

Please quit adding layers and layers of management between the top echelon and the worker bees.

    Pros

Great leadership, mentors that want to see you succeed and grow within company, challenging projects, flexible hours, phenomenal benefits, employee groups that make it easy to network internally, fitness classes on site (and fitness reimbursement for gym memberships), strong brand name, pride in the work we do - both to support local communities and to improve health care in Michigan

    Cons

As with any big corporation, you'll have to deal with some red tape and office politics. I also think the salaries are often lower than market value for the work being done.

    Advice to Management

Consider creating rotational programs for some of the departments that are looking to attract young talent. Also might want to give a "total compensation" overview to employees, so we see the total package. I'm guessing we make up for lower salaries through our strong benefit package. If you helped us see that, we'd appreciate it more.

Great culture, with enough autonomy AND resources to really contribute to the success of the business.

    Pros

Great people, engaged in interesting, noble work and they too have the resources, knowledge and skills to contribute to the success of the business. Compensation and total rewards are very competitive, career mobility within the organization is unmatched anywhere in Michigan.

    Cons

There are a lot of layers, and a few 500 lb Gorillas. Some of the Gorillas are ineffective employees, and none of the layers are willing to confront them.

    Advice to Management

    See gorillas, above.

    Pros

Great work life balance, awesome people; really positive experience. Tons of areas to to grow within the company, definitely not an environment where you will feel stuck in your position.

    Cons

None. I had a phenomenal experience.

    Pros

Competitive health care benefits, though it is all you hear about all the time. If you are between 20 and 35, who cares?!!

    Cons

Not a company for the new. New ideas, new to the workforce, newly graduated... Good luck feeling like you matter. Huge union mentality, tired workers that are really just going through the motions. They know how to do that one process that they have been doing for 10 years and don't try and get in between them and that process! Also, yes they try and promote a healthy lifestyle but you don't see it working!

    Advice to Management

Stop promoting diversity for diversities sake only. Recognize people for their merit and not who they know or what they are.

    Pros

    I love it here.
I learn a lot and they pay us well.
They actually care about their work and the members who see the work.

    Cons

    None in particular.
I'd really like to be an employee and not just a contractor soon.

    Advice to Management

    You're doing just fine.

    Pros

    Health insurance, dental, and vision
Typical work schedule of M-F, weekends and holidays off
    Promotes from within
Cool programs, can take college classes onsite...

    Cons

Unit Leader over you, then Team Leader over you and the UL, then Manager of you and the UL and the TL, etc.

So, it becomes like the movie Office Space where the management can continue to hound you over the same things...a very capitalist workplace
