    Pros

I have been at Blue Diamond now for over 2 years and have enjoyed every moment. Business success has been extraordinary, especially for a food & beverage company. We are experiencing double-digit growth, challenging old assumptions about who we are, and rapidly adapting our businesses and processes to sustain our success! There are great opportunities for talented people willing to work "in the white space" of the organization to have an impact!

    Cons

Growth and change require agility, an open-mind, and a willingness to "roll up the sleeves"; these are prerequisites for success at Blue Diamond!

    Pros

Experienced in their field, profitable company, historic involvement

    Cons

Everyone who works there has been there 30+ years - no innovation. Men's club. Unapproachable managers. No one seems happy to work there...

    Advice to Management

Take a look at some of your senior level management's experience and feedback - they shouldn't be there just because they've been there forever

    Pros

The salaries are decent and so are the benefits. I appreciate the emphasis on healthy lifestyles with their wellness programs.

    Cons

There is a horrible work/life balance. Toxic company culture between plant and salaried employees. Managers are out of touch.

    Pros

Pay was consistent with similar jobs in the industry.

    Cons

Management is a group of lumbering dinosaurs. If you don't like what they are preaching, you will be forced out. Office politics leaks out into the work floor, and affects bottom level employees at every turn.
Want to compromise your work ethics? Then this is the place for you. Food safety takes a backseat to managerial egos. Bad decisions from management are the norm.

    Advice to Management

Advice to upper management (CEO level) would be to clean house. Your management teams care more about their egos than they do the finished product. Someone, somewhere will end up getting sick.

Great co-workers, stability, growth, challenging, and being associated with so many wholesome products.

    Cons

The only cons would be not having the opportunity to work for Blue Diamond Growers in other locations outside of California.
