I worked at Blue Star full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Good for freshers only that too for Mechanical Engineers.
Nice Desk to work and comfortable chairs to work
You can learn traditional ways of working and write a book of how still India lives in Village
Infra structure is good for extra curricular activities

    Cons

You will never get a boss who is better than a fresh engineer graduate.
Processes are for name sake to impress videshi company
Not for career oriented people only for guys / girls who can butter there bosses
And thats true if you are a masters in engineering or an MBA or an MS from any field no matter what happens dont join even if you get crores of rupees, its waste of your talent
Pink slips are a trend, except they are not highlighted in outer world. Many people are hired and asked to leave in few months

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get some better insight by hiring senior management and professionals who can have a holistic business view Old school engineers cannot think beyond mfg a product.

I worked at Blue Star full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

To a fresher, they give a lot of training- full fledged classroom sessions for 2 months (all paid + fooding and lodging in good places), not even the best companies do that... thats the Honeymoon period!!

On the job learning is great as well. All the more I was in Bangalore- a well flourishing market so the pressure was less.

As far as growth is concerned, in a sales job, that is directly related to numbers

    Great working environment.

    Cons

Salary paid is a tad less but that is compensated by the learning which gives you easy entry in any company in the industry.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Try engaging the employees more.

Me as an Individual working for sales had to pretty much forget about work-life balance but then the pay was pretty good for what they expected out of you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Personal growth and office culture is great, with a little advertising on the products, one could reach out to a wide range of customers.
