Advice to Senior Management
N/A
Pros
if you can stretch the truth you can make it big. if you are honest you can make an ok wage but not be in the top 50
Cons
they push sales more than making sure its what the customer wants
Advice to Senior Management
slow down you don't have to be millionaire.
Pros
Good employee benefits and time off. Some Senior Level Managers are very good at what they do. Clean office environment.
Cons
Poor communication between middle managers and entry level. Vague Job Description that was hardly followed. Rapid turnover with this company.
Advice to Senior Management
Senior level management should reevaluate the quality of middle level managers. Communication levels should be increased. Middle managers need to develop a clear plan of objectives and communicate them effectively to subordinates.
Pros
Positive work environment.
Great benefits.
You get out, what you are willing to put in.
Cons
Management needs to be held to deadlines more.
Lack of support and job knowledge from higher level managers.
Pros
4 weeks of paid time off
associate resort stay benefit
not as political as other companies I have worked for
HR is focused on employee satisfaction
Cons
company still recovering from the recession
Pros
the overall benefits package is ok
Cons
Long hours, unreasonable deadlines, lack of respect from senior management.
No raises or promotions even with great reviews, low salary.
Obnoxious senior management. Promotions go to butt kissers.
Advice to Senior Management
Promote those with proven track records not those who kiss butt. Worst company I ever worked for! This company was run so much better before John Maloney took over. Now it's a sinking ship!
Pros
easy schedule, easy pitch to learn
Cons
managers are weak and can not close business. Sales contract is a bad deal, READ IT!!!
Advice to Senior Management
learn to ask for the sale
Pros
Bluegreen is by far the best job I have ever had. They took care of me from day one and were very flexible when it came to needing off work for personal health or vacation. You get paid time off that builds up every day you work. You make hourly and you can make as much as you want in commisson. Just depends how hard you want to work. They have fabulous benefits that are very reasonable and the opportunity for management can happen very quickly if you work hard.
Cons
You have to work weekends and holidays and your schedule can be different every week. Its more of the kind of job for single people with no family to come home to so the schedule will not matter either way.
Advice to Senior Management
Need to secret shop more to get rid of all the shady sales reps they have. We went through one too many while I was there and people seem to do anything just to get a sale. Teach employees to be more honest. There is a reason the timeshare industry has a bad name due to these people.
Pros
Great benefits package including 4 weeks paid time off
Employee use benefit for resorts is good in theory but black out dates make it very difficult to use
Professional work space with nice amenities nearby
Senior management makes an attempt to connect with employees
Mid to lower level team members truly care about the work they do and are great to work with
Cons
Extremely political work environment at the Director and above level
Primarily a boys club
Sales tactics can be questionable
Educational level of some senior team members is severely lacking
Many projects are killed or stalled because of personal vendettas
Some senior leadership members are permitted to behave inappropriately at company functions
Sales and marketing department leadership is fear-based
Advice to Senior Management
Have the courage to change to weed out poor leadership on a departmental basis
Hire talented managers to replace those that have no regard for employee development
Make a stronger financial commitment to technology
Pros
good company
nice people
good management
great employee use program
Cons
low pay
promotions limited without moving
Advice to Senior Management
