    Pros

You can make money if you consistently sell. Turn system ensures fairness and its overall a pretty laid back job.

    Cons

Lots of other salesman who only care about money. Lots of infighting and dramatics. Can be stressful at times.

    Advice to Management

Try to make a hapy atmosphere for employees. Happier employees sell more and create more business.

    Pros

Very much a "family" atmosphere with relation to the other employees. Some of the Management Team was very approachable and extremely fair. Never felt like I was being micromanaged.

    Cons

TOO MANY SALES REPS! If there are 10 customers in the building, you don't need 21 sales reps on the showroom floor. This made competition among the sales team extremely cut throat and sometimes violent. There were altercations between sales reps everyday, sometimes in front of customers. It also painfully hindered any opportunity to make even a decent sum of money. NEPOTISM! There were a couple of employees that were related to upper level managers. These individuals exhibited a serious lack of professionalism towards co-workers and customers. This poor behavior was reinforced by Management's (including GM) refusal to discipline them, for fear of repercussions from upper management. POOR COMPENSATION! This position is entirely commission based at 5% for new furniture, 3% for Pit, and 20% for Goof and bed pads. You start around $12 per hour as an advance against your total earned commissions for the month. This does not create a problem during the busy season (Dec. through Mar.), but becomes crippling the rest of the year. BILINGUAL REQUIRED! If you are not bilingual (Specifically English and Spanish) don't bother applying. 40% to 50% of the customer base only speaks Spanish and will only buy from Spanish speaking reps. Needless to say, these lucky individuals closed on twice as many sales as the other reps.

    Advice to Management

Reduce the size of the sales team to allow your sales reps the opportunity to earn a decent living. Stop providing special treatments to those fortunate enough to have family in high places.

    Pros

Very fun atmosphere to work in. The job is easy if your good with people.
Excellent training for new sales associates.
    Great location.

    Cons

Management has favorites. Some workers are not as professional and courteous as most other places may be.

    Advice to Management

Need to enforce policies to all staff members. Follow through with any promises that you make to employees. Also be fair to all staff members, if not you will lose credibility with staff as well as respect.

    Pros

Very understanding, amazing management with previous floor experience for the company, family oriented, such a positive environment

    Cons

The delivery aspect that goes on outside of the store makes a lot of mistake and in turn reflects upon the sales associates leading to some angry customers.
