I have been working at Boecore full-time

    Pros

Awesome small business culture. A lot of fun activities to interact with folks you don't directly work with. Invests in employees with drive. Corporate staff is very supportive.

    Cons

Limited transfer choices. Unclear career path. It can be difficult to build relationships with corporate staff, when working elsewhere on contracts.

    Advice to Management

Keep taking care of the employees.

I have been working at Boecore full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Boecore has the best staff they drive above and beyond to assist me in anyway possible. Also, provide great benefits and good pay rate.

    Cons

I have not any since I've started working for this Company.

    Advice to Management

Besides the annual pay raise it would be nice to give employees a pay raise upon reaching their anniversary

I worked at Boecore full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The leadership at Boecore is very dedicated to the company, its success and its employees. They support continued education and value a fun, energized, and respect-filled work environment.

    Cons

As a small business, there may be limitations in being promoted in the corporate office. Also because many of the other positions are with government contracts, promotions are limited to the scope of the contract, so a promotion or a change in job is subject to availability and approval. Also limited in the locations where positions work - but this is pretty standard for government contractors.

    Advice to Management

Continue to promote from within and support continued education and development of your employees. And continue to offer fun and engaging team building opportunities!

I worked at Boecore full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Company values closely follow Military Core Values - Support to employee is exceptional - Benefits are a step above industry standard

    Cons

    - As in all DOD contracting positions, growth is minimal - No bench or placement program for those caught in contract loss/downsize

    Advice to Management

    - Hold onto your talent and find a position outside their expiring contract, losing good people is unnecessary

I worked at Boecore full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This company is a smaller company and the middle and upper management take a sincere interest in their employees and moral. The HR department is top notch and make in-processing and out-processing smooth. Salaries are competitive and benefits are competitive.

    Cons

The range of job types that the company supports are currently limited. They fill roles such as system and network administrators for DOD contracts. They have begun to acquire roles in software development recently.

    Advice to Management

Continue to pursue get a foothold in other aspects of the DOD contracts available. Software Development, Information Assurance,

I worked at Boecore as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Boecore is a fast growing company bidding on a lot of new contracts all the time, there are always places for you to move in the company and they like to make sure that you are happy where ever you are at. Boecore has the small company almost family feel, the HR, Accounting, Security personnel learn your name to your face and will help you with any question that you ask in a timely manner. Boecore has a great employee recongition program and listens to their employees, if you want to make a change to benefits or add a employee incentive program, speak up and they will look into making it happen and most of the time do make it happen.

    Cons

Contracting work is always a con with the legnth of contracts being too short

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing!! You guys are great!

    Pros

Competent and professional account management prepares contractors well for placement.

    Cons

Once placed, communications between contractors and account management drop off quite a lot. Some of this is likely due to negotiated leadership roles between client and Boecore, and is a factor of the contracting game. However, be prepared to schedule your own "check-in" and weekly reports to Boecore account management or else your progress might go undocumented.

    Advice to Management

There is a lot to like about working for Boecore: the work ethic is strong and the leadership is organized and effective. To retain experienced professionals, adjust hourly rates upwards and demonstrate clear career paths so contractors don't get locked into a DoD contract rut.

    Pros

Great, talented people. Decent management. I would still be there if DoD funding had been renewed. Open communication between management and employees.

    Cons

Very dependent upon DoD funding Small company, so medical benefits are a bit sparse. Not much opportunity to move between contracts if you are not a manager.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. Keep negotiating for better medical benefits. Have a contingency plan in place to keep people while waiting for new contracts to get nailed down.
