Look for new markets especially in middle east and east Asia where infrastructures are currently built

Pros

In my particular dept. our manager is quite hands off and allows us to work on projects that need to be done without inerference. But, he and most other managers at the company seem to stiffle ideas that average Joe's have. There are a lot of good ideas out there, but there is a type of "fear" that if you say anything, there will be reprisal. Of course they say that is not true but I have seen it in my 20+ years of employment there. I do work with some other great employees, so they tend to make up for the lack of management appeal.

Advice to Senior Management

please listen to your help and don't always side with managment, if you know they are wrong. At least tell us privately that you know what we are talking about.
