Pros
Great place to work and develop knowledge. Compensation adequate and good benefits
Cons
Company success very dependant on world economics and recessions
Advice to Senior Management
More transparancy!
Pros
Lots of travel for most of the positions, which helps to know other plants, and get to see different places in the world
Very good work-life balance, I never felt overworked at Bombardier
Management cares about employees, they even do frequent offsites and take into consideration people's opinion, the vice president of my group was a very down to earth person
Cons
Not the best benefits compared to other companies, but salary is not bad
Not many opportunities of advancement outside Montreal, due to structure, most of the functions are in Montreal, while other locations are mainly operations or factories
Advice to Senior Management
Bombardier is a great place to work !
Pros
Good benefits overall. Strong Leadership with Pierre Beaudoin. Not enough strong leadership at Transportation division.
Cons
Process driven. Does not reward achievement. Lack of transparency relative to pay and advancement and performance.
Advice to Senior Management
Reward achievement of goals that better the company. Increase transparency of pay, performance, and advancement opportunities.
Pros
Well known international company. Possibility of advancement. Challenging and motivating career.
Cons
You are sometimes treated like a number as it would be the case for many large scale companies.
Its a high tech company so subject to be hit by recession.
Advice to Senior Management
More profit sharing. Less red tape. More true listening to all levels of the organization
