Current Employee – been working at Bon Secours Health full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Very few. Those that care get the boot and those that are unmotivated and do very little, seem to get awarded. This facility is VERY pro black. If you are any other race other than black, you are not treated equally. If you are black, then this might be a great place to work, but all others beware.
Cons – Horrible and unqualified management. No HR policies, yet they try to hold certain people to standards that they let others get away with. No support or growth. They ask employees to donate money in order to renovate the dining area and cafe when they are a billion dollar organization. CEO is never around and CFO is always falling asleep in meetings.
Advice to Senior Management – Close this hospital. It is an eye sore and laughing stock of the entire company. Even those in the community would rather go to another hospital. It all starts at the top, so to be successful, they have to clean house, to include the CFO and CEO. A new culture is needed.

Former Employee – worked at Bon Secours Health
Pros – Great mission
Part of the St. Francis Health System
Great benefits
Co-workers/Volunteers supportive of each other
Loved working directly with patients
Loved working in a place where you can speak freely of God
Cons – Upper management did not follow the mission nor care for employees
Secret promotions
No room for growth professionally
You can get fired for anything even if you worked for the company for several years
Advice to Senior Management – I really would suggest removing the upper management out of the hospice house and replacing with those who really care about hospice and the patients

Current Employee – been working at Bon Secours Health
Pros – There are people who are truly there to serve. The company's mission and value statements are strong and meaningful, and when they are top of mind, great work happens.
Cons – Everyone is not being held to the same standard from senior management down. Unfortunately, individuals that that are not being held accountable know all to well that they will not be dismissed.
Advice to Senior Management – Your culture is being shaped by your physicians not by you. This is not good. Their negative talk and behavior undermine your mission. They need to be held accountable instead of catered to. Spoiled children that throw tantrums should not be rewarded or tolerated. Just a thought.

Advice to Senior Management – Live up to promises made on hire.
Show follow through with employees
Make serious improvements to HR team.
Give Nursing staff same holidays and pay as salaried employees.
There is absolutely NO growth in St. Francis ED. None. Almost all management is hired from outside facilities making much hostility within staff.

Current Employee – been working at Bon Secours Health
Pros – A good place to work at, Co-workers are cooperative and helpful and able to provide assistance with scheduling shifts.
Cons – It is a small hospital, so any word of mouth gets passed along very quickly and cannot be controlled.
Advice to Senior Management – Please assist the laboratory with staffing needs, extremely high productivity while staffing is short is a strong indicator of too much overtime.

Current Employee – been working at Bon Secours Health
Pros – Clean organized hospital, beautiful. Lovely garden and cafeteria
Cons – You have to pretend you want to be here - or else they get rid of you. Its called "engagement"
They coerce you saying you like being her for gallup - all goes for their bottom dollar - beware.
Advice to Senior Management – It's not really about engagement. Its the game you make us play
