Great people, but not a lot of room for advancement unless you are friends with someone.

I worked at Boostability full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Hours, people, pay, extra activities

    Cons

The only people who got promoted were friends with higher employees. They ignored a lot of really good employees by doing this.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take the time to get to know all the employees, not just the ones that are your friends.

I have been working at Boostability full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The coworkers here are great and the atmosphere overall is great as well. They train you well for the job (depending on what department you're in), and there are company parties from time to time. The company also does a fairly good job with promoting from within.

    Cons

Boostability has been moving towards being more stingy with some aspects. Your sick days and vacation days are the same and are on the low end of what most companies offer. Additionally, compensation is a sticking point. At the lower level of account management they pay well, considering most people don't have a lot of experience, but as you move up, I don't think that their salaries reflect the true market value of employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You're employees are an asset. Don't let them walk away from you because of a creeping corporate mindset of decreasing the bottom line within the company.

    Pros

Fast growing company. Great technology. There are a lot of great people that work there. I foresee them doing even better in the next year or so.

    Cons

They don't truly take care of their employees. They have lost their top sales reps b/c they are pretty cheap on their commission and treated us like we were disposable. No matter how well we did. You would think that the better you treat your employees the better they would perform and the better talent you would get. Their customer service isn't the best either. Though they are a great at white labeling and SEO they are a revolving door for customers and employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend a little more money in rewarding your sales team. Offer a base salary that is competitive if you aren't going to offer a good % of commission. Have more perks for working at a good SEO company. You will get better talent when you do this and you will stop the leakage of top sales people leaving.

I worked at Boostability full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

I learned alot about effective SEO for any business. Even small and medium sized businesses. The work environment is young, energetic, & fun. We worked and played as a team. Team meetings usually involved a short game. I won a gift card to JCW. One of the perks is free access to the SaaS to optimize your own website / blog.

    Cons

The normal cons that come in a service oriented, customer facing position. There was not medical/benefits; that might have changed. Not bad for a first job.

I have been working at Boostability full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Great potential for advancement due to tons of growth- much of the management have been in their positions for far less than a year.
You'll never be forced to work more than 39.9 hours a week.
They seam to encourage autonomy and they don't micro-manage.
Some of the employees have been known to work from home on occasion.
The culture is better than most.

    Cons

Management could use some schooling. Though not the worst, most of them are young in their positions and could be more progressive, but instead act more like parents than leaders.
You're required to be there from 8-5pm every weekday with hour long lunches, but forbidden to work 40 hours a week so they don't have to provide you with insurance.
    There are no benefits.
Taking a simple day off requires more than a good enough reason. They shame you for wanting/needing time off and act as if they own you.
They still have a ways to go with their "great culture".

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more like coaches & leaders, than parents. Find a more effective way to set better goals. Organize your meetings so they are more efficient and don't waist working hours.
If you don't let your employees have time off unless they're sick, they will just call in sick when they need a day off, and then you're stuck without any notice. Realize people have lives outside of Boostability.
It's a fact that replacing an employee is more expensive than keeping one. It's a fact that higher salaries brings you more dedicated, invested employees. If you want your employees to care more about working for you, you should offer them more incentive, like pay, benefits, and PTO.

    Pros

Opportunities to grow and move up

    Cons

They dont take advantage of the 10 years of experience I have

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If someone has been selling for 10 years or more they should start as a closer especially when they have more experience and are older than most of the management

I have been working at Boostability full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great working environment, good co-workers, and the pay is great. I have also learned a lot about online marketing that I feel will benefit me for years to come.

    Cons

Sales are tough, that's not really Boostability's fault. It is challenging to learn the material but stick with it and it will be worth it.
