I worked at Bosch Rexroth full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

There's a team atmosphere at Rexroth. Most of the associates would agree. Great life/job balance. The director of my department would take all of the team and family to a wide variety of functions to celebrate goals that we completed on time. Bosch Rexroth stays true to Robert Bosch's philosophy "I don't pay my employees well because I'm rich, I'm rich because I pay my employees well".

    Cons

In my seven years at Bosch, there was a time that some management should have been vetted along with some employees.

    Great people, exciting environment

I have been working at Bosch Rexroth

    Pros

The people are really nice and helpful. As an intern I'm doing a lot of busy work but they keep me going. There's always something new on the horizon! The company is constantly thinking long term on how they can operate more efficiently.

    Cons

Communication is an issue. Enough said. But the biggest problem I see is that mid-level managers are not being held accountable for maintaining standards. I believe this comes from the busyness of the daily routine (because there is no daily routine for management) and some things are forgotten about. But it's still not an excuse, top managers should hold their subordinates accountable and this does not happen.

    Co-op Experience

I worked at Bosch Rexroth as an intern

    Pros

Good structure. Learn how to work in a large multi-national company.

    Cons

Direction of managers, etc. seem scattered. Always seems to be catching up and never ahead. Bureaucratic and continuous future planning seems like a waste of time sometimes due to ever changing circumstances.

    Pros

Management knows what they are doing. They set you up for success, give you what you need to do your job, and stay out of your way while you are working.

    Cons

I would have loved to stay with this company but unfortunately they didn't have any engineering positions at this location, so I had to move on.

I have been working at Bosch Rexroth

    Pros

The work-life balance here is great. There is plenty of time for life after work is over, and generally the hours are very flexible. Another pro to this company is that the pay is excellent. It is a big company and the pay is competitive with other companies.

    Cons

One of the biggest cons for this position is the long hours in front of a computer.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The leadership and management for this particular department could be better. There is not much leadership on the higher end of management, which is something that needs to be improved.
