    had a wonderful time

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

Prosto succeed at this job, you will need to work hard. However, it has been one of the most rewarding job ever. Like all management consulting jobs, it is very intellectually stimulating.

ConsYou will have to travel. I traveled for about 80% of my cases. It suited me fine in the beginning, but later on I decided I wanted a more stationary job.

    Top level strategy consulting firm

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    New York, NY

ProsThe exit options are fantastic, given you have a network of colleagues who exit into high-level positions, but since the company is small enough, there is still a culture where if you contact someone down the road they will always take your call

ConsThe company knows that they have great exit options to business school and other companies, so you effectively get paid well below what you could command at another job in finance, or work harder than what you would get for equivalent pay in other corporate strategy roles

Advice to Senior ManagementStrong training, but need to consider more "career mentorship" for hires right out of college

    A phenomenal place to learn

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    New York, NY

ProsAmazing opportunities for development -- both formal training and on-the-job learning. BCG does an amazing job pushing you to learn new things and address your areas for development. The work environment is extremely collaborative and supportive, and the compensation is good.

ConsTravel can be grinding, and hours are often long. Interest level in cases varies depending on how you manage to be staffed.

Advice to Senior ManagementMake sure to keep a laser focus on creating development opportunities for employees -- that is a key value proposition for this job!

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

Pros- Learning & development opportunity (exposure to multiple business problems + consulting skill set)
    - Positioning for future career opportunities

Cons- "Up or out" policy can add uncertainty, especially since reviews are subject to case / module type and team management

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsGreat place to work and learn, across sectors, across geographies. Invests in people. In India its growing very fast.
