I have been working at Boston Market part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

As a Catering Driver, you get a $15.00 commissioned delivery fee per delivery. This fee covers gas costs and provides incentive because gas usually does not cost anywhere close to $15.00 per delivery.

    Cons

Tips are rare, and there are some weeks where you don't get any deliveries. Most people would need another job to support themselves unless you can average about two deliveries a day.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It might be wise to start hiring people strictly for promoting the delivery aspect of the company. Most people I know have no idea that Boston Market delivers.

I have been working at Boston Market full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Its a Great Company to work for if you are young and are looking for experience on your resume. Teaches the basics of operation a business.

    Cons

To be promoted is like a huge waiting game. I feel as if they don't follow though with their commitments. There are basically no benefits, and next to no compensation for extra work/ commitments. i also feel as if they don't hold enough people accountable and do not who that they actually care for their employees or how they are being treated. I feel torn about this company. They tell me that the restaurant is my life but it doesn't seem as if its worth the pay with no recognition.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your people better. There has been so many good people leave over the years since I've been employed because you won't even pay them a salary that enough to survive. There is also way to much work to be done to pay crew members only minimum wage for some positions.

I worked at Boston Market part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Good management, easy job tasks, easy corporate mobility (one of my managers was 21 years old, working while attending community college)

    Cons

It can be boring, the pay was not much over minimum wage, and a lot of the guests were senior citizens and they were sometimes hard to deal with.
