I worked at Boston Market part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Decent, considering it was my first job ever. I worked there for a summer between college semesters. You get half off on meals during your shift, and I often found it rewarding to interact with customers.

I noticed that they often trained workers to become managers, so it seems like there was a decent amount of opportunity for growth at my location.

Management was okay - as with most places, it's kind of a mixed bag.

    Cons

For the amount of work you do, the pay doesn't really justify it. You work very hard - probably about as much as you would if you were a server - and you don't get tipped for it or anything.

I also felt like each of my managers were on slightly different pages and often contradicted each other. It made things kind of confusing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communicate with each other better and make sure you're teaching the same things to each employee.

I worked at Boston Market part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

The food was the only thing I liked about working there. Other than that, I will never ever go back

    Cons

Management rules. Very cheap company. Would always be on my back about how much food I gave the customers but hated getting complaints from them. Way too much cleaning to do. Can't even get tips for the hard work we do!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Stop being so cheap

I have been working at Boston Market part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Flexibility. You are only looking at 2 hour shifts. So this is really only a side job. Busy time for drivers is when Thanksgiving comes around.

    Cons

needs new equipment and more of it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When Christmas come around and your store is #1 in sales, the company should reward hard working employees with Xmas bonuses instead of just rewarding the manager with the bonus.
