I have been working at Boston Scientific full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Location, cost of living, quality of personal life

    Cons

Poor communication, little collaboration, no challenge to status quo, office culture poor, like an old boys club, no freedom to speak up,

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communicate and collaborate strategy and long-term plan, start looking more closely at activities of senior "leaders"

    Pros

BSC has an interesting product line, has a serious commitment to providing training and development for employees, and is large enough to provide career growth.

    Cons

Management needs to do a better job developing a long-term strategy and then executing it. Layoffs are a knee-jerk way to run a company!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Develop your strategy for the long term, communicate the strategy, treat every employee with respect, treat every sale as if your mother's or father's life depended on the quality of the device sold!

I have been working at Boston Scientific full-time

    Pros

Decent pay and benefits. At least they were.

    Cons

Little room for advancement. No career development. Very very political. And raises have been stingy for many years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you can't promote, say why you can't promote and say what needs to be done to get promoted. Don't give us that 'you need more global leadership' crap to someone who only works locally. What does that even mean?

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Approves of CEO

Boston scientific has decent compensation packages. The work envirnoment is excellent. There are lots of activities, both at team and company level, for team building.
