    Pros

Great co-workers in a professional atmosphere.

    Cons

Lost direction due to company changes and economy. Now just one of many Limo Companies.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on quality of service and vehicles. Vehicle reliability is part of service not just an expense.

    Pros

It was a fun and interesting place when owned by Fidelity. I enjoyed all of people that worked there and the constant challenges to improve the business

    Cons

Not in a great growth industry and over the years had variety of layoffs and always seem to fighting just to stay in business

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Always make sure you listen at all levels of the orginization

I worked at BostonCoach full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

The people are great and generally care about you as a person.
The pay was good for an out of Boston location like Everett.
The benefits were good also but that's because of Fidelity ownership (not any longer)

    Cons

Only 6 holidays is a joke. Luckily, my group (Sales) was more flexible about time spent in the office since meeting with clients was job number 1.
Everett location isn't convenient or great for socializing outside work - you can't just get out and have a few beers because nothing is within walking distance.
No long term strategic planning made it frustrating year to year

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Plan, execute, and always take advantage of opportunities.

    Pros

Benifit program provided thru Fidelity provides excellent coverage at affordable rates.

    Cons

Sales management team at the senior level is clueless as to requirments necessary to work with the industry. Marketing department does not provide support or is open to new ideas. Ledership in marketing needs a change or a kick. Finance department has always been a mess and continues to be so. Sales received no raise in base salery for 4 years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start listening to people who have experience and open up to new ideas. Just because you have the position dosen't mean you know all the answers !

    Pros

The Fidelity connection and related suite of benefits are definite plusses.

    Cons

Continual turnover in senior management and subsequent changes in business strategies make this a very difficult environment. There is no respect for employees who are treated like commodities. Turnover rates are astronomical. This is a very rough company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This business should be all about the driver, who is the face of the company to the customer. Instead of focusing on developing the skills in this group, senior management focuses on finding ways to fire people.

    Pros

Good worker, good people. It's a good job if you're 65 years old and up.

    Cons

Low Pay. No future. They don't want to pay you for overtime unless they have to. The only way you can make money is with overtime.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The passengers pays the drivers 15%. So give the drivers a real wage increase, benefits don't put food on the table. And now you drag BostonCoach drag there feet on paying bonus.

I have been working at BostonCoach full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Amazing, dedicated and smart coworkers who have put up with drastic change and reduction of benefits with minimal complaints and hard work.

    Cons

New CEO puts on a nice front, but rules with threats. Everyone fears for their jobs and no teams communicate leading to infighting and distrust. Some new higher executives seem to have no idea what teams below them do on a day to day basis. Everyone mantra is to cover your own tracks because all departments will "throw you under the bus." Not currently a healthy work environment with little direction and leadership.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Appreciate the great hardworking employees before everyone leaves. Come to one clear business direction for all new and merged departments to move forward as one. Promote teamwork between departments.
