    Pros

A number of very interesting initiatives servicing cloud payments and smarter cash management, Pace of business is fast. Lots of younger people following successful graduate and apprenticeship intakes. Progressive HR department, first one I have come across that has a programme on Mental Health (for those that need it), also usual Fintech things from fruit to office massages to pizza fridays and periodic breakfasts. Fun place to work, but also strong focus on delivery (and financials). Great London office and location.

    Cons

Surprised that company does not promote it's successes and initiatives better, odd for me as I came from a very strong marketing driven company.

    Advice to Management

    get on with it

    Pros

Opportunity to grow and get involved in real challenges. Helpful, open culture, people want you to do well. Great feedback from Executive Leadership. Management cares about employee's wellbeing and success.

    Cons

Not really a con, but poor performers don't last long. There's no place to hide and no time for passengers. Reading office needs renovation.

    Advice to Management

Keep up with the feedback to employees. Less centralisation from the US you have an good team in EMEA, use it for global effect.

    Pros

Working for a growing company like Bottomline is always a good choice - the leadership is strong and has refreshed its talent. The client base is WOW with 75% of the FTSE companies trusting BT with their payments, and the testimonials tell you that they are doling something right and well. Very flat, open comms. Meritocracy. Entrepreneurial mindsets. If you want to do well and commit, you will fly and enjoy yourself.

    Cons

There is nowhere to hide - if you are a weaker performer - BT will support you and help out as much as possible but this company is growing and won't have time to settle for C graders.

    Advice to Management

Direction is right - keep going and don't be so shy on the publicity to the markets!

    Pros

If you work hard you are rewarded, you are expected to deliver outstanding results, the company doesn't carry people who don't want to work hard and that is why people come onto this site and moan! Main benefits private medical, pension, fruit, free massages, training

    Cons

It is hard work and you have to manage your work life balance

    Pros

Positioned fairly well in a few niche markets. However expansion through acquisition is really causing cultural chaos and upset.

    Cons

The chair of the board has his son and brother working for the company. They are nice people. But you can imagine how "qualified" t hey are to do the work. Company has not made money in the past two years. Using accounting gimmicks to pretend they are actually doing well. Concerned about cash flow from operations.

    Advice to Management

End patronage positions today. Start to think about divesting some of the acquired businesses and focus on banking.

    Pros

Compared with other companies I have worked for, I don't see any Pros for this company. Salary is below market rate. Bonus is only a couple of hundred bucks for average employees.

    Cons

A lot of politics and favoritism in its workplace. If you are colored people, stay away from this company.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to treat people equally.

    Pros

This is a fabulous place to work and it's all about the culture which starts at the top. Delighting customers, doing the right thing, and working with and for each other are not just slogans; it's the way things are done here. Best company I have ever worked for.

    Cons

I have not been able to find one.

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up.

    Company is not for everyone

    Pros

BT has very good benefits. There are many talented people. The company has a nose for acquiring good but undervalued business.

    Cons

There is a culture of distrust throughout the company. Open communications are non-existence in most departments. It seems everyone or group lives in their little island with no way off. Leadership has attempted to create a good culture through verbal, email and other types of communications but their actions are the opposite. I honestly do not think anyone trust the leadership team, which includes HR. Many people prefer not to go to HR because it was a "death wish", this is sad (hearsay). Annually they lay people off so they can make room for new people from the acquisitions. The layoff seems to be pretty random, definitely not based on performance. Luckily I left before then. Many good people were let go. You will find these things throughout the company --smoke and mirrors --immature processes --inefficient --rude and disrespectful --lack of teamwork I am surprised they average 3 stars, the horror stories from this company blows me away.

    Advice to Management

Come up with a better strategy than growth through acquisition. The stress that you are putting on your employees are unnecessary and will become a major problem in the future. Get your house in order and go back to basics.
