Pros
There are many locations, so there are many opportunities. There are some opportunities for advancement. Many employees have worked for the group 10, 20+ years, which demonstrates longevity. I believe leadership truly appreciates every employee.
Cons
Due to the nature of the automotive industry, business fluctuates, therefore, pay fluctuates. The hours are very long also. The benefits and time off are not great.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep doing what you're doing to stay ahead of the competition. During this difficult economic time, the Boucher Group has managed to thrive while other groups in the area have had to do some major downsizing.
Pros
When things are going well, it is a fun and interesting environment.
Cons
Salesmen usually last only 5 months and the managers have an equally as bad turnover rate.
Pros
Good compensation/benefits package to sales and F&I
Friendly sales staff with easy buying/selling processes
Large auto group that allows flexibilty to sell various makes of cars.
Cons
Unfriendly and stressed out management and acct staff
No new hire support
Terrible aftermarket warranty options (expensive and not much of a value to clients)
No hirearchy at individual dealerships
Never felt like a part of the team
Advice to Senior Management
Stop thowing away your reputation by allowing so much churn in the business office. Instill a small, new hire training program to familiarize them with Boucher systems and practices.
