Pros

Very smart people who run the company and care a lot about the employees. A high class organization with good souls.

Cons

Tough time with sales and growth is slow due to economy. Unfortuantely had to make some tough decisions and growth opportunity was limited, although there were some very well deserved promotions in the last couple of years.

Advice to Senior Management

Keep on going - the economy will turn around.

Pros

Immediate people I get to work are good with and the location is choice. Bread is good and the food is good.

Cons

Very few benefits, low pay and long hours. Health insurance through Boudin is extremely expensive, they have no retirement plans including 401k to offer, no personal time off, two holidays a year (Christmas and Thanksgiving), expect you to put in long hours for pay that is far below the industry standard. Senior management, who receive large bonuses and lots of time off, seem only to worry about that and making more money without regard to those that make it happen and making it easier on them and their families.

Advice to Senior Management

Talent stays when the benefits and pay are at the industry standard or better. The benefits packages really need reviewed as well as time off for work/life balance. Not an attractive position with only two holidays, which we're not off, and no personal days.

Tip money is good when it is busy.
Healthy work environment. Supportive management.

Cons

Slow shifts leave you with little $.
Scheduling is messy.

More FOH supplies. Take care of your senior people.
